Red Sox 2005!
Ouch......just what happened this year. The gas within the BoSox machine just ran out, or wasn't refueled for the coming autumn. Needless to say they pre-empted the seventh inning over here for a bloody Calgary Flames game.

I can only imagine my poor grandfather keeling over from a heart attack just seconds later, another reason to hate the Flames. I better go check on him...

Oh well. I am happy overall I suppose.

I never really thought they could win the world series once Schilling went out and never really came back.

They have also had a miserable bullpen all season long.

lol. with winning it last year, I really can't be too upset. I also know that the Yankees won't be making it to the World Series either.

With the Red Sox eliminated i'll also be rooting for the Whited Sox, maybe they will win their first World Series since 1917.

The Red Sox did a good job defending their title, what with all the injuries to the pitching staff and Damon (who played hurt the last month and wasn't very effective). Letting Pedro and Lowe go turned out to be a bigger deal that Epstein thought. Should be interesting to see what moves Boston makes in the off-season to shore up the rotation. And, you have to wonder if Schilling will ever be the same again?

I think the Cardinals will win the World Series. They've been the best team all year, IMO and with Carpenter healthy, they're in much better shape this year than last year when they made it to the Series.

It would be nice to see Chicago win the series. I don't know why. Maybe just because it's different.
