If the Pats survive the next three weeks without a loss I will be very surprised and impressed.

Pats will now go 14-2 again. Mark it down.
OK:

1. Ronnie Brown is improving every game, and thus, helping to take pressure off Gus Frerotte. Ricky Williams comes back after next week and that gives the Dolphins good depth at the RB position.

2. Frerotte isn't making bad decisions with the ball. Marty Booker is a good solid No. 2 receiver and Chris Chambers is a playmaker. I also like McMichael at TE.

3. The defense is still very good. Zach Thomas is a beast and Seau is playing good so far. They pressure the quarterback and Sam Madison is still one of the better corners in the league.

4. Olindo Mare is one of the most consistent kickers in the league. If the game is close late, you can count on Mare to make a big kick for you.

5. Playing in the heat in Miami early in the season is a huge advantage. Of course, this evens out when Miami plays in cold weather late in the year, but the Dolphins have a huge home-field advantage with the weather and usually parlay that into some early wins.

6. All of the other teams in the division are banged up.

As a final note. All I said was that Miami would be a contender for the division title. I didn't say they'd actually win it, but I do think Miami will be a team that is in playoff contention. Whether they get in or not is anybody's guess right now, it's too early to tell.

ok........

Guys I understand that Miami isnt the best or worst team in the history of the NFL. I am simply trying to state the following.

For Miami to be a "contender" as some have stated they will have to win AT LEAST 10-12 games. Otherwise how the hell are the going to "contend" for the division title?

Miami simply CANT win that many games. They arent that good at all.

BTW, look up the numbers Miami ALWAYS rolls through the month of September then fall on their faces as soon as it gets cold.

I love the addition of Nick Saban. Actually my dead cat is a better choice of coach than Dan Wannestat.

I am just trying to point out how crazy the thought of Miami winning the AFC East is.

It's about time......now bring on his next fued....

I'm with you Simon....they may compete for second place in the division, and they may compete for a wild card spot, but that division belongs to the Patriots

My Predictions are next to the team they are playing that week. Keep in mind that even the most advanced predictors usually only get about 60% correct.

The only pick I made was that I didn't think the Pats wouldn't survive the next 3 weeks without a loss. I guess I was right.
