OK:
1. Ronnie Brown is improving every game, and thus, helping to take pressure off Gus Frerotte. Ricky Williams comes back after next week and that gives the Dolphins good depth at the RB position.
2. Frerotte isn't making bad decisions with the ball. Marty Booker is a good solid No. 2 receiver and Chris Chambers is a playmaker. I also like McMichael at TE.
3. The defense is still very good. Zach Thomas is a beast and Seau is playing good so far. They pressure the quarterback and Sam Madison is still one of the better corners in the league.
4. Olindo Mare is one of the most consistent kickers in the league. If the game is close late, you can count on Mare to make a big kick for you.
5. Playing in the heat in Miami early in the season is a huge advantage. Of course, this evens out when Miami plays in cold weather late in the year, but the Dolphins have a huge home-field advantage with the weather and usually parlay that into some early wins.
6. All of the other teams in the division are banged up.
As a final note. All I said was that Miami would be a contender for the division title. I didn't say they'd actually win it, but I do think Miami will be a team that is in playoff contention. Whether they get in or not is anybody's guess right now, it's too early to tell.
