The number of power plays a game are between 12 and 20 a game. Needless to say, the players aren't use to playing that tight of a game. Lets hope they adjust and start playing a 5-5 game for the regular season.

The Leafs game has 20 penalties lol. Most games seem to being going that way as well.

You do realize that he is going up against rookies trying for a sport on the teams right? I would hold off on those kind of statements until the regular season gets under way.

Can I just point out that while the Hawks finished dead last in the last season, The Penguins came in second last. Mario didn't have a way then.

I'm just trying to stay optimistic. They've added a lot of parts this year as well, and who knows about Sidney.. He could be a key, although even if he contributes nothing this year I still feel good about the team and the future of the organization.
I'm already regretting a couple months ago when I said the Pens would take a few years to get back in contention. Along with Lemieux they already had a decent group of young guys, then you add Recchi and Leclair and Gonchar, and Crosby looks pretty NHL-ready as well.
