GameCenter: Gamebook What I picked: Simon's Pick: Indy SU & Cleveland +14 Here's what I said in my preview: "Ok, So I guess the 14 points is for thinking that Manning will be on a mission this week after such an abysmal performance last week. (122 yards passing, 0 TD's ) Cleveland is playing a lot better than some people expected with the likes of Trent Dilfer and Braylon Edwards leading the charge last week.
While I dont see Cleveland winning, I do see them covering the 14." Here's what happened: Trent Dilfer goes 22-29 and continues to prove that he CAN in fact play. While Cleveland is still not a great team they certainly gave Indy a run for their money. Peyton Manning has his second straight mediocre weak while the Edge quietly racks up another 100 yards. Indys defense is playing like the best in the league. They are saving Peytons butt right now. __________________________________________ CIN: C. Palmer (16-23, 169), R. Johnson (25-84) CHI: K. Orton (17-39, 149), T. Jones (27-106) |

GameCenter: Gamebook What I picked: Simon's Pick: Cincy SU & Cincy -3.0 | My preview: "I dont understand this line at all. I realize the Bears beat up on the Lions last week, but seriously.....that was their biggest win over a team in like 12 years. Cincy simply has too many weapons and Carson Palmer continues to shine." Here's what happened: It was pretty much just the Chad Johnson show who continues to shine in Cincy. The Bengals are 3-0 for the first time in what seems like 40 years. Nothing much of significance really happened in this game. If you saw something I didnt let me know. __________________________________________________ ___ My picks: Simon's Pick: St.Louis SU & St.Louis -6.5 My Preview: Ugggh. Both these teams are not on my favorites list. If you read last weeks report you know why I dont like STL. Now lets go after TEN this week.
Tennessee has a mess in the backfield. Neither Travis Henry or Chris Brown know who is the lead back. They lost all their decent talent on Defense to free agency and now are suffering badly. The only bright spot on the Titans is Jeff Fisher. Fisher is the most underated coach in the game. His talent is medicore at best and he continues to get blood from a stone. Now this week though.
Martz gets his stupid head out of his ass and RUNS THE FREAKING BALL this week.. ..... He is such a dipshit. He has so much talent and has no idea what to do with it. What happened: Well I guess I didnt do much preview but what I talked started happening. Mike Martz actually ran the ball. Torry Holt had a huge day as well as Mark Bulger, but they also mixed it with a nice shared load of Faulk and Jackson. You have to run to make passing deep sucessful. ______________________________________________ Hmmm. I guess I didnt preview this game. What Happened: I'll tell ya what happened. It was a shitfest from beginning to end. Seriously look at Penningtons stats. Sure he missed a little time in the middle of the game, but 76 yards? Not good. I used to think that Pennington was going to be on the level where Brady is, but now it is looking more and more like he is heading the direction of Bledsoe. __________________________________________________ _ Final | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | T | Carolina (1-2-0) | 3 | 14 | 0 | 7 | 24 | Miami (2-1-0) « | 14 | 7 | 0 | 6 | 27 | CAR: J. GameCenter: Gamebook Simon's Pick: Miami SU & Miami +3.5 My preview: | Ricky don't lose that number, Your suspension will be over soon. Ricky dont lose that number. We miss yooooooooooou !!!
Ronnie Brown is doing nothing to hold down the number 1 spot when Ricky comes back Week 6. I also imagine that 30 pounds that Ricky lost will suddenly appear and he will be beating defenses down once again. Until then though, Ronnie needs to get his ass in gear.
Carolina comes off a sloppy game against New England and looks to tune up on Miami. The 3 point spread may be an indicator that Carolina may be looking past Miami this week. What happened: Ronnie Brown had the big day he needed. Carolina took Miami lightly. Come on John Fox. You have Foster and Davis. Run all freaking day long. Miami still stinks by the way. Lucky win against a slumping defense.

GameCenter: Gamebook Simon's Pick: Dallas SU & Dallas -6.5 My Preview | "This WOULD have been the game of the week 8 years ago. Now its just another ass kicking for San Fran. I know they have Tim Rattay at QB, Barlow at RB and Battle and Lloyd at WR, besides that I dont know any of those fools. Name 3 guys on their D. Exactly......." What happened: I didnt see any of this game, but it looks like Bledsoe and Glenn were circa 1996 out there. Damn those are some good numbers for Dallas' offense......finally. __________________________________________________ _ Listen I did the whole thing and screwed up the end. Its really the MOST irritating thing on the face of the earth. You know how it is..... |
