Any fans? I loved this team all of my life. Jake sucks though. What do you think their chances are this year?

Jake the Snake is extremely unpredictable but capable of a great game.

The tandem of Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell should continue to do well, but who knows, I think Elmo could get 1,000 yards in Denver.

I dont see the Broncos being any better than 9-7 this year.

Once Denver finally realizes that Shanahan is a fraud and fire him, they will start winning superbowls again.

Anderson and Bell have rushed for 54 and 47 yards respectively, and neither is averaging over 3.5 a carry. That's trouble for Denver. Now Ron Dayne, on the other hand, had like 9 for 50something last week.

And I thought the Broncos won their Super Bowls with Shanahan...? They even beat Dan Reeves in one of them.

That's true Freak, but I think Simon is one of those "Never won without Elway" type of guys. That's why he doesn't respect Shan.

To answer the question, I think the Broncos are going to have a hard time scoring points this year, I really do. I don't think 9-7 is even within their reach in that division. I'd say if they went 8-8 it'd be a good year for them, they need way too many pieces. Sorry.

My point is that Shanahan was reaping the benefits of the hard work that Reeves and Elway did building that team.

Nobody was a bigger Broncos fan than me in the late 80's early 90's.

Well, maybe people from Denver.


You have to remember, the Patriots used to go like 1-15, 3-13 all the time. We couldnt even watch them on tv or hear them on the radio because it was blacked out due to lack of people attending the games.

So it was quite hard for a young teenager to be a fan of a team that he could never go see. Therefore I followed The Broncos and The Giants. They would play the Giants every weekend in Boston. There are actually a ton of Giants fans around here somewhere.

Who cares though? Reeves never won a Super Bowl, with or without Elway? Shanahan did, and he had a whole different supporting crew, and his own offensive line coordinator, who was the shit.

And he drafted TD in like the 7th round, didn't he?

They'll never win a Super Bowl with Jake as their QB. I do like Denver's linebackers and secondary (defensive line is weak, though). They'll probably sneak into the playoffs again and get booted in the first round on the road, again.
