Under Pressure.........Can you take the heat?

So the hot topic in Boston this week is whether or not rookie phenom reliever Craig Hansen should be pitching it critical situations leading into the playoff run.

Here its split...

Some are saying, hell ya!! He must be put into real tough situations to test him.

Others say, No way!! He is too good to test right now. He could be the closer for the next 10 years, don't crush his pride so early. Let him develop.

Now a little quick history on this guy.

A year and a half ago he was still in high school. Now he is on the Sox. He made an incredible transition to pro ball and completely destroyed the minors. He had not given up a single run in minor league ball. Pretty much unheard of.

He also throws 3 pitches over 97 MPH and has tons of movement.

So I ask. Is this player for the future or do you see what he can do now.

I say let him kick some ass, or at least try.

Damn, if he's that crazy he should be pitching. K-Rod was pretty new when he helped the Angels win the world series, so I say let hiim pitch.

Thanks for the memories Eddie!

I totally agree with AZN and you Simon. You have to let this guy pitch. K-Rod did wonders for the Angels down the stretch and into the playoffs at 19-years old, this guy could be the same thing. If he's as good as everyone thinks he is, then he won't get caught up in one game..

Real closers don't worry about one game, they come out and try to get you back next time around. Let him pitch!

Let him pitch. He doesn't realize at this point in time, how important each and every pitch is. Inexperience can be killer at some points, and a huge plus at others.

Better hope the White Sox continue to choke on their vomit though, otherwise Boston's season just might be cut short. Chief Wahoo is going to the playoffs!
