NFL Week 3 Preview and Simonaylisis

Here we are with my picks and previews of the week 3 matchups. I figured since I pretend to know so much about the NFL that each week I will try to predict the winners vs. the spread and straight up. Lets see how I do at the end of the season.


In my picks "SU" stands for "Straight up". As in, I think Philly will win "SU" against Oakland.

All picks were made Wednesday evening. Lines are as of Wednesday from www.NFL.com

Open date: Baltimore, Detroit, Houston, Washington

- Lincoln Financial Field - Philadelphia, PA		CBS
	Oakland (0-2, 0-1 away)
	Philadelphia (1-1, 1-0 home)	8.0

This should truely be a fun game to watch. At least I hope it is. Both Terrell Owens and Randy Moss will face off for the first time with their new teams. Should be a lot of camera hogging going on Sunday.

Can McNabb and Owens continue to smile and play nice? If they continue their hot streak from last week Oakland poor ass defense doesnt stand a chance.

Warren Sapp and Ted Washington equal 1000 pounds of dead weight.

Meanwhile Brian Westbrook continues to be the real offensive weapon on Philly.

Oakland will cover the 8 points but wont come out on the winning end.

Ugggh. Both these teams are not on my favorites list. If you read last weeks report you know why I dont like STL. Now lets go after TEN this week.

Tennessee has a mess in the backfield. Neither Travis Henry or Chris Brown know who is the lead back. They lost all their decent talent on Defense to free agency and now are suffering badly. The only bright spot on the Titans is Jeff Fisher. Fisher is the most underated coach in the game. His talent is medicore at best and he continues to get blood from a stone. Now this week though.

Martz gets his stupid head out of his ass and RUNS THE FREAKING BALL this week.. ..... He is such a dipshit. He has so much talent and has no idea what to do with it.

	Indianapolis (2-0, 1-0 home)	14.0

Ok, So I guess the 14 points is for thinking that Manning will be on a mission this week after such an abysmal performance last week. (122 yards passing, 0 TD's ) Cleveland is playing a lot better than some people expected with the likes of Trent Dilfer and Braylon Edwards leading the charge last week.

While I dont see Cleveland winning, I do see them covering the 14.

Ricky don't lose that number, Your suspension will be over soon. Ricky dont lose that number. We miss yooooooooooou !!!

Ronnie Brown is doing nothing to hold down the number 1 spot when Ricky comes back Week 6. I also imagine that 30 pounds that Ricky lost will suddenly appear and he will be beating defenses down once again. Until then though, Ronnie needs to get his ass in gear.

Carolina comes off a sloppy game against New England and looks to tune up on Miami. The 3 point spread may be an indicator that Carolina may be looking past Miami this week.

Bret Favre lost his number 1 reciever and got better. Tampa Bay gets a Cadillac and is cruising. Tampa Bay is my sleeper team this year. I got to pick them until they lose.

	Pittsburgh (2-0, 1-0 home)	3.0

This game will be all about the running backs. Cory Dillon vs. Willie "Out of Nowhere" Parker.

Big Ben is still undefeated in the regular season and the Pats are coming off a terrible defeat last week. Seeing as the Patriots are 36-3 in their last 39 games look for them to rebound in a very close game.

You just can't ignore that win loss record.

This WOULD have been the game of the week 8 years ago. Now its just another ass kicking for San Fran. I know they have Tim Rattay at QB, Barlow at RB and Battle and Lloyd at WR, besides that I dont know any of those fools. Name 3 guys on their D. Exactly.......

I dont understand this line at all. I realize the Bears beat up on the Lions last week, but seriously.....that was their biggest win over a team in like 12 years. Cincy simply has too many weapons and Carson Palmer continues to shine.

Mister D doesnt understand this line. He calls it disrespect. I call it dead on. The Giants are extremely overated while SD continues to fly under the radar by most NFL fans.

Hey, why should this be an ass kicking for the Niners? Dallas just choked against the Skins. It was horrible. I think the Niners will be there to play. Oh and Simon, you must know who Julian Peterson is, right?

I don't disagree with a lot of your picks though, I think most of them are dead on..

I'll be back maybe tomorrow and make all my personal picks.

PS: I prolly won't pick the Niners either..haha.

Big Ben made a tremendous throw down field to Randle El. El cut back and took off, the Pats finally tracked him down at about the 20 yard line of the Pats. However, instead of just taking the tackle for the big gain he turns around and pitches the ball back to Ward who wasn't looking and they lost it on a fumble.

I like him too.. But you got a 10-7 lead and the ball at the 20.. maybe go up by 10. Why would you risk it on a play like that? I mean, if Ward was looking it would have been a TD but they probably would have scored anyway. It wasn't worth the risk.

This is still a damn good game though.
