The kid they just drafted, Jason Campbell, was shooting up mock drafts before Washington got him at the end of the 1st. He's got great size and he's mobile, but I never got to see much of him in Auburn's offensive gameplan.

The way Gibbs and Snyder run things, however, I guarantee he sees the field by Week 4 or 5.

..and people blamed Spurrier? lol.. Gibbs is a legend and can't do anythin with this team. You're right Freak, I saw a lot of Jason at Auburn but I still can't tell if he's got the goods. It was all about Caddy and Ronnie down there.

I will say this, Brunell is NOT the answer.

You're right Blitz, Brunell is not the answer...I think he's just a stop-gap until they feel Jason Campbell is ready. Like, "Here, we brought you in last year, we're at least going to give you a shot, but if you mess up, we're going right to Campbell" sorta thing

And the majority of the blame for the Redksins sorry state goes to Dan Snyder, but Spurrier takes some blame too. It was he, after all, who wanted to implement a pass-wacky offense, and traded Stephen Davis as a result

But hey, as a Giants fan, I'm not complaining

Yeah, I knew you'd be happy about it..lol BTW, I don't know much about Jacobs but he looked like a fucking bulldozer out there on Sun. Could be a great pick for the G-Men..

As far as Spurrier, he did go the whole pass-wacky route, Fun & Gun Florida Gators style, which I think can work in the NFL if you have a decent running back to keep the D honest and the right personel.. Spurrier had neither and it looked awful.

With Gibbs though, I can't let him off the hook for this mess. He's got Clinton Portis in there to run his style of offense, the smash mouth, but the Skins still can't do anything...

Snider is just plain rediculous.

the thing is though, Portis isnt that kind of runner. He's a quick slasher...He bulked up a little in the offseason, and he managed to gain 121 yards against a good defense on Sunday, so maybe he will be better than he was last year. But if they had the same system, but with Stephen Davis instead of Portis (or Trung Canidate before him....ugh) they would be more successful

Gibbs certainly takes some of the blame, but he was handed a shitty team to begin with. I will give him credit though, in that the defense was phenomenal last year

and yes...Brandon Jacobs is the man

Yeah, I wasn't necessarily talking about Portis as a real "smash mouth" back.. I shouldn't have used that word. But I do.. think he's a guy that is more than capable of running the ball 25-30 times a game. He's shown that. He looked good on Sun. so we'll see..

The rest of the offense is just a disaster.. And yeah, why did you have to bring up Trung Canidate? haha.. wow. One good game for th Rams and people were claiming he was the next Barry Sanders.
