Good god, no. I'd rather they sign Troy Edwards, and that says a lot.

Wide receiver was one of the only positions of depth for Green Bay heading into the season, and Driver/Ferguson is definitely a capable starting duo -- especially for Brett Favre, who made Bill Schroeder look like a Pro Bowl receiver. Chatman is improving, and can handle the slot, and they drafted a rookie WR, Terrance Murphy, in the 2nd round this year (he's coming off an injury though).

I'm sure they'll be looking to sign someone -- even if it's just someone like Andrae Thurman off the practice squad -- but Jerry Rice seems out of the question.

At the very least, I'm really relieved Ted Thompson never gave JW a new contract.

Dude, what's wrong with you? Freeman has sucked since the Packers gave him a big contract 6 or 7 years ago, and has been out of the league for a couple years now.

If it's a torn ACL, which I think it is, Javon might not even be ready for next season. If you remember how long it took Edgerrin James to return to full-strength, I believe Walker's rehabilitation will be a very similar process. He's gonna need fully-reconstructive surgery on it.

By the way, welcome to the forum! I'm always aching to discuss the Packers, but they never seem to get mentioned. I hope you stick around.

... but Favre ain't hurt, and there's no way Craig Nall is taking anybody to the promised land.

I'm obviously worried about Green Bay this year, but losing Javon Walker is much less a concern than the fact that our secondary and linebackers are positively miserable.

Walker was on my fantasy team...

After reading he was out for the season I had to make some changes to my team.

Hopefully I can keep my winning streak alive.

I wish him the best in a speedy recovery.

Not to mention I think the Packers missed the playoffs in 1992. Hahaha.

It looks like Jerome Pathon could be headed for the green and gold.

I'm okay with that.
