Actually his mom is a reknowned bitch. She along with his father (Agent Carl) played huge parts during the Lindros vs. Quebec Nordiques saga.

Completely agree. Had to like the headline in the Toronto Sun the day after the signing, "Will 88 need 9-1-1?" Have to wonder if he'll last as long as Doug Gilmour did when they resigned him and he got injured only a few minutes into the first game he played as a Leaf.

They are taking a risk. I personally think it is worth it seeing how if he stays healthy and plays good, it can only help the leafs. Obviously they know there is a chance he may get hurt again, but I don't think he would take too many risks that he did in the past. He wants to play hockey and gets to do it here where he wants to. Good on him.

The papers can make their jokes, but if he pays off, I hope they are just as quick to kiss his ass.

Well at least he won't be like Gilmour and get stuck against the Flames in his first game who are a team that like to hit hard. But they might want to bench him January 6th if he makes it that far ;) Especially with Phaneuf in the lineup this year to potentially get in some big hits like he is known for.
