Owens gets thrown out of Camp

Well..nobody is a bigger fan of Owens than I am, but I'm really starting to get tired of his act. The guy is the best WR in the game (in my opinion) and he really isn't a terrible person, but the way he goes about this contract has been a joke.

His teammate Brian Westbrook is holding out too but at least he stayed home. Owens has done nothing but cause a scene in camp and it really isn't helping his fellow Eagles for them to have to put up with it.

And I'm sure he was being an ass, Andy Reid is one of the most respected coaches in the NFL he wouldn't have kicked Owens out for no reason. Owens needs to just take care of this and let it go..they'll all be better off, the Eagels are NOT giving him more money.

On a side note, Adam "Pac Man" Jones, might be the biggest idiot in the NFL and he's never played a single game. He's holding out for the Titans, and if you read what he's said about his teammates that he's never even played with, you'd laugh your ass off. His comments are rediculous.

Man........This guy is certainly not a good person.

He thinks of only himself, acts like a 10 year old that got his lolipop taken away and make millions of dollars to play a game.

I really think he is the biggest assburger in the history of the NFL. I really wish he would get released and nobody picked him up. It would never happen, but it would be great.

F TO.

Thank you Simon, finally someone who shares my opinion on Owens. I especially don't like how people credit him for getting the Eagles to the Super Bowl when they won their divisional game AND the NFC championship game without him and probably would have made the playoffs without him considering they had made it to the NFC title game the previous 3 years.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

I can't stand Owens. Everything he does is just an attempt to draw more attention upon himself. Like today after he gets kicked out he drives home then proceeds to shoot baskets, even though he's "injured" and hasn't practiced in nearly a week. Then he lets the media come into his driveway but refuses to answer any questions. The guy's a jerk and the Eagles need to get rid of this guy ASAP. John Clayton over at espn.com brought up a good point when he mentioned that Owens is due a $7 million roster bonus after this season and that the Eagles should let Owens know now that they're not going to keep him after this year, so he should be happy with the knowledge that he can be a free agent and can try to collect the type of money he thinks he deserves. It's likely the only way the two could co-exist because Owens has alienated himself from the team and will be nothing but a distraction; unless both sides agree to part ways after the season. That way Owens plays hard b/c he wants to earn top dollar on the free agent market and the Eagles get their No. 1 receiver back.

Wait a second, I agree that he's handled this like a child, I agree that he acts like a dick most of the time, but since when does he not try hard?

The guy puts up numbers..plain and simple. Do the Eagles need him to win? No, probably not. But if he's on the field he will try hard.

You think for one second he'd want to stop doing endzone celebrations? It's what drives him. First game of the season if he's in uniform he will catch a touchdown pass, that's just the way it goes.

And the Eagles fans will eat it up, they'll love him again, because he's one of them. And for anybody who says you wouldn't cheer for him if he was on your team, I don't believe you. I had to put up with his bullshit for years as a Niner fan, but when he ate into the Giants secondary in the playoffs..you think I wasn't happy about it?

Hey, Simon..if he was on the Pats would you cheer for him? Of course you would, you cheer for Cory Dillion and he was the biggest disruption the Bengals ever had.

Since the beginning of fottball there have been assholes, but if they helped a team win the home fans loved him..

Bonds gets cheered in SF. Sheffield and Giambi get cheered in New York. Randy Moss will get cheered in Oakland.

Well..you have to forgive me, I thought it was just going to be another holdout situation, I never really thought it'd get this far. The last week in Eagles camp has been a circus and people like McNabb shouldn't have to put up with this shit. They were in the Superbowl last year, they are trying to focus on getting back and possibly winning this time, and then all they have to hear about is this shit.

Blitz. There is a pretty significant difference between Dillon and Owens. Let me explain.

*Dillon played for the Bengals for some 5-7 years and only complained the last 2. He never demanded more money, he never held out, he never acted like a two year old.

*Dillon was on a team that couldnt even make it to .500 for over 7 years. He used to beg to get released. It was obvious that until the Bengals lost all their players, fans and most importantly tickey revenue that the Bengals went out and got Marvin Lewis and upgraded at many positions.

*DILLON TOOK A HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE PAYCUT TO PLAY IN NEW ENGLAND.

Blitz, I thought you were from my area. Don't you get the Patriots way? It is the exact polar opposite of everything that Owens has thought, and acted out his entire career. If TO was so concerned about being a great football player, he would do everything in his power to help the people around him to get better rather than causing a major distraction.

You can keep TO. The Patriots have no problem winning without assholes like that on thier team.
