Wow...I thought for sure Blitz was gonna jump to T.O.'s defense.

I was listening to Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN radio this morning and Mike Greenberg said "The Eagles are the Titanic, and this ship is sinking". That put a smile on my face

The person I feel the worst for in this whole situation is Donovan McNabb. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him, and despite playing for the Eagles, I like seeing him succeed. I normally don't make race an issue, but I like him more because he's a black superstar that doesn't act like a thug (Allen Iverson) or a baby (T.O). McNabb is the kind of athlete that young African-Americans should look up to, not AI or TO

Oh, and the biggest difference between Dillon and T.O. is that when T.O. was being a pain in the ass for a struggling team, people just said "Oh, he's upset because the team is on the way down". Now, he's on a Super Bowl team and he's complaining.

Meanwhile, people said the same thing about Corey Dillon, but once he got to a winning team, you didn't hear a peep out of him. Which lets you know that it wasnt him...he just wanted to win

I'll put it this way: T.O. would probably rather catch 3 TD's in a game and lose than catch no TD's and win

Yes..maybe true, but whenever TO does catch 3 td's in a game the team wins. He is the most dangerous man on the field in every game he plays..

I don't buy into Dillion not being a cry baby..he wanted out of Cincy when the team was getting better..he just couldn't stand the fact that Rudy was getting carries and it was proven that he doesn't have to be the man. The Bengals are better now without him

And yes..the difference is that everyone shapes up when they come to New England. I do know the Pats way. I'm sure if TO went to New England you wouldn't hear a peep out of him. If he went to the Giants though, he'd be Shockey times 10...so Mister D would prolly be better off without another a-hole on the team. They have enough.

By the way, without TO the Eagles WR's look awful right now. Pinkston is hurt too. I know they've won with shitty WR's before but I don't know, they look pretty bad. We'll see how good Greg is.

And the Westbrook holdout isn't helping..lol..The Eagles are dying.

McNabb tells T.O. to keep quiet
Eagles QB doesn't want Owens mentioning his name
Posted: Friday August 12, 2005 1:30PM; Updated: Friday August 12, 2005 1:30PM

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -- Donovan McNabb insisted he wasn't stung by criticism from Terrell Owens, laughing off the banished wide receiver's remarks before turning serious and telling him to "keep my name out of your mouth."

While Owens left his home for the Bahamas, McNabb joked with reporters, tapped the mikes and rubbed his hands together before taking his seat inside a jammed media tent shortly after Philadelphia's Friday practice.

"Yeah! C'mon, bring it!" McNabb said to laughter.

Owens again blasted McNabb on two separate interviews with ESPN on Thursday, calling the quarterback a "hypocrite" and saying the two of them could not be successful together. Owens also said he had no desire to speak with McNabb.

"It's so funny to me how my name keeps getting thrown out there," McNabb said. "You've just got to have fun with it and that's exactly what we're doing."

Owens was told to go home Wednesday after a heated dispute with coach Andy Reid -- and to stay there for a week. He's since lifted weights and shot hoops in front of the reporters camped outside his house and hard harsh words for Reid and McNabb in TV interviews.

On Friday morning, Owens left his Moorestown, N.J., home with two suitcases and went to Philadelphia International Airport, where he told KYW-TV as he headed to a security gate: "I'm going to the Bahamas. I'm going to get a tan."

McNabb, light and smiling throughout his interview, agreed with Owens the two didn't necessarily have to speak to win.

"I still to this day see no reason for us to talk," McNabb said. "When we step on this field, it's all about business. We're professionals that line up and do the right thing."

This was the second time this year McNabb has warned Owens to stop talking about him.

After Owens complained that McNabb was tired in the Super Bowl, McNabb said "Just keep my name out of your mouth," during a mandatory minicamp.

McNabb, who made a recruiting pitch to get Owens to Philadelphia before last season, was tired of hearing Owens complain.

"Now for my name to be thrown out again, this is the second time. Keep my name out of your mouth," he said. "Keep my family's name out of your mouth."

Owens called McNabb a "hypocrite" on Thursday because the quarterback said publicly that he did not want to meet with Owens, while T.O said McNabb did try to arrange a meeting.

McNabb said he didn't learn until Thursday that his brother did reach out to someone close to Owens to arrange a meeting where the two Eagles could possibly work out their differences.

McNabb was bothered that Owens brought his family into his televised rants.

"My family doesn't need to be involved in any of this. I don't need to be involved in any of this," he said. "Now when you bring my family into it, I have a problem."

I do not want T.O. on the Giants. Period. Point blank. Like you said, he's all of Shockey's bad qualities times 10. He's a distraction. He had a few good years in San Fran, then he sabotaged the team. He's doing the same thing in Philly. He's a locker-room cancer who makes the teams he plays for worse in the long-run

T.O. would be the best player on the Giants, but he would make everybody else worse. We dont need him or want him

TO joins the Giants team, him and Eli get along really well, TO leads the Giants to a championship with an MVP type of season...Next year, TO becomes a cancer again and the Giants are forced to trade him. Would you take it?

If you can guarantee a Super Bowl championship, yes I take it

But since you can't make such a guarantee, then no, I don't take it

But you'd be forced to cheer for him. 3 TD's in the Superbowl, he wins the MVP, and you as a Giants fan are happy.

That's my only point. First day of the season, if he wins the game for the Eagles, everyone is happy again, including McNabb.

It's weird sometimes how that works out.

This is off subject but do you know how many first rounders the Patriots have on offense?

1 Daniel Graham. Tight End.

It isnt really related to the overall point, but what I am trying to say is that a person like T.O. would NEVER and I repeat NEVER end up on a Patriots team. Corey Dillon and T.O. are like night and day. Dillon said that he could never be happy in Cincy because of the pain and misery he had been through for 7 years prior to that. Fine, thats cool. Its not like he sold anyone down the river like TO has done on numerous occasions.

Now TO is refusing to talk to McNabb? Fuck TO !!

I agree with Mister D 110%. Black youth should be looking up to a young superstar like Donovan McNabb, whose worse career decision is being in soup commercials with his momma. Instead they see the highlights of the TO and Randy Mosses of the world. It makes me sick really.

Bottom line is he can have all the talent in the world, but he is still an asshole.

Barry Sanders - Excellence of Execution.

But, who do you think McNabb would rather be throwing the ball to? Owens or Marvin Harrison? Owens or Hines Ward? Owens or Chad Johnson? Owens or Andre Johnson? Owens or Joe Horn?

My point being that McNabb would probably take a less talented reciever that isn't a pain in the ass over T.O.

and I doubt things will be all hunky-dory if T.O. starts playing again
