It could happen. It's known that he wants out of Boston and the execs are trying to make it happen for him. It was just reported that The Mets/Sox/D-Rays are discussing a three team trade that would send Manny to the Mets and Huff to the Red Sox.
No word on how close they are to completing this deal..
All I have to say is if the Red Sox trade Manny they can kiss The World Series goodbye. He's got 28 Homers and is the leader in all of baseball, once again in Runs Batted In.
He's one of the best right-handed hitters in the last 20 years, and Huff..Well..he's just nothing special. He's a solid player, and this would open up a lot of money for the Sox in the future, but for right now..I say, it would end all chances of the Red Sox winning the World Series..
Trot Nixon is on the DL..who knows what they can expect to get from him for the rest of the season..
We'll see how this all plays out.
