Man, I've been camping the last few days, and when I read in the paper that the Raps took Villanueva, I was kind of happy... then again, I thought he was that point guard out of Illinois. This fucking sucks. I thought Arajeuaoouiuo was a bad pick.

Still, that foreign PG they took seems alright.

Julius Hodge going #20 to Denver is a good pick for the Nuggets. They need a shooting guard and Hodge can run the floor very well. He drives to the hoop and gets to the line. His outside shot is inconsistent at times, but when he's hot, he doesn't miss. He's decent defensively and I can see him earning a starting spot.

I thought Charlotte had a good draft, but I would've taken May #5 and Felton #13. They were lucky May fell that far. I wouldn't have been surprised to see Felton sitting at #13.

The Knicks did a decent job, which is surprising giving how Isiah Thomas usually is clueless when it comes to drafting/signing players. The Knicks got the better of the deal with Phoenix (Robinson and Richardson), but like others here have said, they should've taken Stoudamire or even Brandon Bass from LSU instead of David Lee.

The other surprise was Von Wafer going to the Lakers in Round Two. He's a headcase who thinks he's better than what he is (I graduated from FSU and know reporters that cover FSU hoops that say he's a jerk). Someone convinced him to turn pro, despite scoring 12.5 ppg last year. I can't believe the Lakers took him. Yes he can shoot, but he can't drive to the hoop and can't play man-to-man defense. He'll be a role player, at best. I'm actually glad he's no longer on the 'Noles. He was a big distraction for the team last year.

I love the Sports Guy's running diary. He's by far my fav. writer on ESPN. I'd love to have a job like his some day (I'm in the same business, trying to work my way up).

ok..don't get me started here with the Raptor's pick..first they blew off a chance to pick up an all start center for 2 first round picks..i mean..might as well...cuz ur team is down the drain already..might as well pick up Toronto's Native Jamal Maglourie..(who is actually wanna play for Raps..I mean..how many people in the current NBA really wanna play for the Raps?)

as for Simon's Q...Gerald Green...i think the Celtic got the steal here..cuz i thought the Rap should of draft him..or Fraye or at least Sean May...but about Gerald Green compare to Big Ticket KG..man..that's what they all say every freakin here in the draft pick..but how long will the kid develops like KG..i mean..they said that for last year #1 pick Dwight Howard..they say that for Chris Bosh too and they probably would say to any kids who go the body frame of KG and have similarities in the college basketball...but the thing is..to be as good as KG..u gotta be all around..i mean real all around...need to have shooting skills (can't missed those 15-16 footers..can grab major rebound...quick n explosives..can block shots...have some ball handling skills and defense) so u got to see how Gerald Green play in the 05/06 seasons.. I think Chris Paul is one of the tramendous PG in that draft..i'm not saying williams nor felton not any good..but paul could be the running candidate for the rookie of the year..but defently won't be bogut for the rookie of the year...this kid got size..and might able to shoot..but can he rack up those points in NBA and playing that positions against players like Shaq, Ben Wallace, Eddy Curry or any other players can own him down the middle..to be come an East Center..u have to know how to dominate the post...i actually like to see the bobcats now..since they got size in the low post..Okaford and May..this should be interesting..and a point guard felton and gerald wallace..should be good..won't be playoff material..but good enough

just hope there might be some trade in the next 2-3 months before the next seasons starts..

haha...funny thing I read about the Raptors picking Villanueva

"That being said, the Raptors' pick raised some eyebrows at the draft. The one guy who didn't seem surprised was Villenueva but that's probably because he doesn't have eyebrows."

[quote=Blitz]I didn't like the Bogut pick by the Bucks, because while I think he could be a real good player, I think Marvin Williams is going to be a star..
QUOTE]

Even if Williams becomes a star he won't stay with the Bucks and Bogut might so with that and I think Bogut is the better player right now. With this I think the Bucks made the right pick.

I think it's funny an Australian was the first pick and I only have one friend who follows Basketball, and he moved here from California at the age of 15.
