Michelin were apparently offered lots of ways to race within the limitations of their tyres in a safe manner.

They turned them all down.

I hope they're fined tens of millions by the FIA - that'll be how much F1 will lose from the American market in the future.

Basically Michelin fucked up by bringing a tyre what wasnt guareenteed safe on that track, and most of teams use them tyres so only 3 teams (6 drivers took part in the race)

I thought that everyone was fine about the chicane except Ferrari because they knew that they would win the race if the others didn't compete.

Michellin screwed up but it was Ferrari who refused to compromise.

Yep thass the impression I got aswell. I watched the re run last night as I missed it originally. I bet if it were Ferrari who had the problems then the FIA would have bent over backwards to help them.
