| Well...it's from all the steroids he's been taking anyway.. I don't know...seriously, I've never liked him because he's never gotten a big hit in his entire career. He reminds me of Fred McGriff..I'm not saying that Fred is better cuz that would be absurd, but Fred was a guy who feasted off of terrible pitching and then every year he'd go to the playoffs and stink it up. Never do anything. A-Rod will be remembered as one of the best players of all-time assuming he stays healthy, but I can never put a guy on the level of a Dimaggio or someone like that until he comes up with some clutch hits in his career being it late in the season or in the post-season. | |||||||||||||||

I don't want to hear that Bonds had those numbers cuz he was on steroids..Maybe they did get inflated, but Giambi was on steroids along with a ton of other prominent players in the league and not one single player came close to what Bonds was producing..When people break it down to him just being on steroids, I can't take them seriously..He was a God among his peers.

| Just remember that A-Rod has a lot of years ahead of him...I mean, for all we know he could hit a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the ninth in Game 7 of the 2010 World Series. I'm sure that would qualify as a big hit My point being that if he was 35 or 36, I could understand this "never having a big hit" or "best player to never win a World Series" thing (which I guess goes to Bonds or Ted Williams). But he's only 29. He's got plenty of time to correct both those things | |||||||||||||||

Bonds did have the numbers cause of steroids. How can you ignore that? Giambi too, though Giambi didn't have the ability Bonds did and probably never would have been any better than his brother if he had never shot up. You can't take any of Bonds' numbers seriously because no one knows when he started taking them. As far as A-Rod goes...$27 million buys lots of juice. ![]()

| To be fair, Bonds was nasty before he roided up. Why he did, I have no idea - the guy was still a power hitter, and an accurate hitter, before he bulked up. He was also a lot faster, and a lot healthier. You can't deny Bonds' ability to hit, but if you look back to the impact of roids on his career, all you have to do is look at other power hitters, and how many times they fly out to deep left/right/center. Almost every time Bonds would've flied out to the warning track, he actually put the ball out, thanks to the added strength. That doesn't necessarily invalidate his career, but that 70 home runs shit is bunk, and it should be stripped from record. | |||||||||||||||

Haha...yeah. I can't get wrapped up in that though because there is no proof that A-Rod has done anything wrong, so in my mind I guess he still is a great great player. As far as I know, the Yanks only have two cheaters in their starting lineup.
