2. One foot in bounds when making a catch: Logically, the two feet rule doesnt make much sense. If you have possession of the ball, and you have a body part in bounds, that should be sufficient. I dont see why you need to have two feet in. To even things out for the defense, you should also be able to push a guy out of bounds to prevent a reception

3. Unlimited replay challenges until you lose one: Why should you be limited to only two (now three)? If the refs keep blowing calls, you should be able to keep calling them out on it.

4. No more chop-blocking: Its just way too dangerous. It's a joke that it's legal

5. Shorten the time between draft picks: The first round took like 7 hours this year. That's ridiculous. You've spent months preparing for the thing, you should know who you're going to take once draft day arrives.
I actually like 3, just modified a bit. You get 2 challenges to start with, but only lose them if you challenge unsuccessfully. This is still affected by how many timeouts you have remaining.

I'll have to disagree with #2. Two feet in is what separates the professionals from the amateurs, and being able to shove a player out to prevent a reception is just cheap defense. Its why they allow the catch now if it happens.

I'm all aboard with 4 and 5, not entirely sure how I feel about 1. Its the whole concept of sudden death that I like about OT. I'm still not sure I like the college implementation of OT (though I'm glad they finally have OT) and think if they went to a similar system it wouldn't work.

I know baseball is long and I often get tired of it around mid-season, but that's usually because the Braves have their division wrapped up by that point.

But with Hockey, it's a much more physical sport..I'd like to see a hard fought season of around 50 games and then, hopefully more people could be healthy for the lengthy playoff system..

I love the hockey playoffs though..I'm not gonna act like I watch a whole lot of the regular season, but when the playoffs come on I watch a ton of it..

Onto baseball, One thing I'd like to see is a pitch clock...(You've all heard of the shot clock in the NBA) I think a pitcher should be given a certain number of seconds to deliver the ball to the plate or it's a deemed a ball.

The only thing is that it would make it a little easier for someone to steal a base, but who cares? ...when all these steriod polices kick in, baseball is going to be looking for a way to produce more runs anyhow.

Thats why you cant do any more once you lose one...then coaches would really only use them when they had to

pp2, i dont like the college rules either...I just feel like if the team that wins the flip scores, the other team should get a chance to respond. but ONLY for the first possession. After that, it's regular sudden death

It wouldnt be THAT much different from the current rules.

I dunno. I mean, if a game goes to OT tied at 17...who's to say you aren't able to stop the team winning the toss from scoring? They've been stopped a good part of the day already. Plus the sudden-death aspect amps up the drama.

I'm not saying your idea is bad, I'm just saying I like it how it is.

I see way too many games decided by the coin toss...It wouldn't be such a big deal but it seems like every time the team that gets the toss ends up coming down the field and winning the game...Yeah, they could stop them, but I don't think they should have to. I think they deserve the right to match the score...and it's not like they are really doing anything to create the posession...They won a coin toss!!..you know?

I don't want to get crazy with it but a team should at least get the ball once...In baseball, each team gets to hit in the 10th inning ..

I'm gonna try to find the stats on how often the team that wins the OT coin toss wins the game. For some reason I don't think its as high as one would believe. Let me hunt around.
