Is this kid actually good at football(soccer) or is it just a stunt to sell tickets? Does he have a chance to be great?...and when I say great, I mean on a world level.

I guess he'll never be considered a great player (in this era) until he conquers European football. As with your football, if an American Football player (not soccer) was succesful just in Europe you guys would think nothing of him would you.

Unless he's a success with a big Euro team or unless he inspires the U.S team to a succesful World Cup in which he shows he's a star (and by succesful I mean anything from 1/4 finals upwards) then he's just going to be a kid with promise.

He turns out quite good in Football Manager, althought I haven't got far enough to see him in his prime, lol.

I bought the game FIFA for PS2 one year...the best rated player on the U.S. Team was Cobi Jones (sp?) and he was rated like a 70 (out of 100)


The whole Brazil team had people rated over 80 and they had like 4 or 5 players rated in the 90's...

The best team in MLS was rated all 3's (out of 5) in every attribute. There were teams such as Real Madrid, something called AJAX, Arsenal, a bunch of Italian league teams, all rated 5's in every single attribute.

There was no point to it other than the game didn't give the U.S. any respect at all when it comes to football (soccer)....

That's why I brought up Adu, because I was wondering if he is ever going to be good on a world level, but you guys haven't seen him play.
