I was trying to get into the playoffs last night but I just couldn't...these series are fucking awful, so I guess it's just baseball for me until the NFL rolls around again.

Actually, I think the conference finals will be pretty good, assuming its Heat-Pistons and Spurs-Suns. Pistons-Pacers was a blowout, but its still cool because we ge tto see the Artest fight about 12 million more times

It's possible that I could get into the Conference finals...but I don't see any hope for the Wizards, Sonics, or Pacers... The Mavericks may have a shot but they are like a poor man's Suns so I'm not sure they can stick with 'em.


BTW, Atlanta is in first once again..and won't be denied..I'll see you all in the playoffs!!! (Where they will choke)...but I'm trying to stay positive. Smoltz, Hudson, and Hampton could be a force in a 7 game series..

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A Minnesota Vikings running back with a history of violating the NFL's drug policy was briefly detained by airport police last month after they found an elaborate kit used to beat drug tests.

Police at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport questioned Onterrio Smith April 21 after a search of his bag discovered six of seven vials of white powder, which police said were the same consistency as cocaine, according to a police report.

After the powder tested negative for drugs, Smith told officers it was dried urine used in conjunction with the jock strap, fake penis and bladder which he was also carrying. In addition, he had a bottle of pills labeled "cleansing formula."

The rig was called "The Original Whizzinator" and Smith told police it was "for making a clean urine test." Smith told officers he was taking the kit to his cousin. The police report did not say where Smith was traveling.

Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Tice told the Star Tribune, which broke the story in Wednesday's editions, that he didn't know about the incident and had no comment.

On Wednesday, a team spokesman for the Minnesota Vikings had no comment. Smith's agent, Douglas Hendrickson, did not immediately return a message left at his office.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said league rules state that failing to cooperate with a drug test was the same as failing it, but he wasn't sure of the penalties, if any, for possessing a device designed to beat such the test.

Smith was suspended last season for four games after testing positive for marijuana. It was his second "strike" in the NFL's substance-abuse program. He would earn a yearlong suspension for a third violation.

In 2000, the University of Tennessee removed Smith from the team for marijuana use. He finished his college career at Oregon.

Smith, 24, rushed for 579 yards as a rookie and led the Vikings last season with 544 yards.

Haha...the Red Sox won on a walk-off homer by Kevin Millar yesterday and now they just won with a walk-off home run today by Varitek...


The Yanks have taken the lead on the M's 12-9 now..but I'm not sure how..

Sox were up 4-1 in the top of the 9th. Keith Foukle gives up 5 runs to give the A's the lead.

Jason Varitek hits a walkoff homerun to give the Sox two consecutive dingers to win games in the bottom of the ninth.

Yanks just won their fifth straight, 13-9 over the Mariner's. They're off tomorrow, then 3 in Oakland, three in Seattle, and three in Queens next weekend

Oh jesus christ...they'll be over .500 in no time with that schedule..actually, it doesn't matter, most teams in the MLB are pretty easy to sweep if you think about it. The Braves just got done taking 4 in a row from the Astros including a 16-0 win..lol
