Think about it..$39 Million cap, over 400 free agents including Forsberg (best in the NHL in my opinion), not to mention all the cuts that will be made due to the new CBA..

The Rangers are finally fucked for life and I can't wait to see it..No more $80 million payroll..haha..Plus, we know they don't know shit about hockey period. They just knew how to buy up players that didn't produce for them..

But back to the Pens..this could easily be the LeBron James scenerio of Hockey. You think the Cavs were doing good? Hell no..but now they have one of the strongest fanbases in the NBA because of the kid..

If Crosby ends up being a Lebron type..the fans will come and see him play. Plus, the kid gets to learn from the greatest of all time, in Super Mario..what a situation..

Calm down Gretsky fans..I know he's really the greatest, but Mario is 2nd.

I'm so excited..I'm going to Pitts. if I can get some tickets that is.

A new arena, as said before, this is the true key to squash the fifth go around of "Pens leaving town rumours". Crosby will help a great deal, but he won't save. Just remember The Igloo is easily the oldest in the league at almost forty years of age. As for now Craig Patrick could really do something about shoring up his defense to rid the team of it's on-ice domino effect.

That's a lot of fucking talent. I heard somewhere that Modano is signing with the Bruins, I don't know how reliable the source is.

Quite actually, there's a good chance it's going to happen, if not Minnesota. And with Forsberg most likely out of Colorado, it'll only give the Bruins the best One-Two punch in the league at centre.

Naslund and Forsberg are almost looking like a package deal right now, and there's much speculation that Scott Niedermayer and Miroslav Satan are Vancouver bound.

Iginla is re-signed so now I don't have to worry about that. Also rumored that Kiprusoff is signed now too.

We got Amonte for a damn good deal. Read an article about him coming to Calgary and it sounds like he took a cut because he wanted to be back with Sutter and thinks the Flames have a good shot at the cup. McCarty is also a good pickup and fits into the Flames style of play. Didn't see either one of those happening but I am glad they did.

Right now I am predicting these lines...

Nilson - Reinprecht - Kobasew
Simon - Yelle - McCarty
Weimer - Lombardi - Donovan

Turek (Not sure what is happening with him. Heard he was gone but now I have been hearing he will probably be back. All I know is if he isn't back they need to try to get a backup.)

That is from the Herald today. Iginla has been pushing to get Scott in Calgary so it might happen but I think his salary would be too much for them. Especially with what Iginla will be making.

Then another rumor is Lindros wants to play for Calgary and is willing to sign cheap. Also hearing Toronto is after him cheap. With his concussions I am not sure if he is worth it no matter how cheap.

Today should be another interesting day though. Hoping we find out where Scott will be heading.
