Devil Rays getting ****y....and what's wrong with Randy?
LOL..if you didn't see it the other day the Yanks got beat 6-2 by the D-Rays and Randy Johnson gave up 5 earned runs..After the game Eduardo Perez (who hit two home runs off of Johnson in the game) said, "Ehh...Randy ain't what he used to be"...haha. Who does this guy think he is?
He may have a point though. Johnson has looked awful...you think it's just a slow start or he really is nearing the end?
Well, less than 12 months ago he threw a perfect game, so I would say he definitely has plenty left in the tank
Is he still one of the top 5 pitchers in baseball? Probably not. He is 40 years old after all, and eventually your skills have to start to diminish. But he's still a great picher, who's just going through a rough stretch.
I think I said this when they got him...Don't expect anything out of Wright..
As far as Johnson...It's no big deal as long as he pitches great in the Playoffs. That's why he's a Yankee after all. If Johnson doesn't pitch well in the Playoffs Yanks are in some trouble...so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Make no mistake, the Yanks will be in the playoffs.
I can't believe all these writers saying The Yanks might be done...lol They should be ashamed of themselves.
I think its way too early in the season to be saying anything. Older guys take longer to get back into the groove of things. David Wells pitched too crappy games, and his last two have been great...
