Freak - The article was written very quickly in relation to the event, so that could be the explanation. I dunno.

Yes, if it were the English we'd be banned for 5 years!

Roma had all fans removed from their home games in this year's group stage. As far as I know, they avoided a ban.

AC and Inter should be banned or something. They share the same stadium/staff, so they should both feel the brunt. Perhaps have the San Siro leg played in an empty stadium, with this ban carried over to next season. Banning teams dents the competition, denting the club's revenue in this way as well as punishing the fan would be more effective. It seemed eerie when they did it for Roma, but it also felt like the right course of action.

It also seems an absolute shambles when all the stuff with Mourinho has happened, and this violence will probably get a paltry fine in comparison. It's a travesty.

I think it is time the Italian League paid the ultimate price and was pulled from European competetion for a few years. It worked on our (English) fans amd for the most part holiganism in the English game is no more. Perhaps pulling the plug would give the Italians the same perspective, that its better to watch football.

So Inter Milan have been fined £132,000 by Uefa and must play their next four European games behind closed doors after crowd trouble against AC Milan... what a load of Crap, UEFA calls this a punishment, I call it a slap on the wrist.
