He's meeting with the Giants today, and a lot of stuff I've read say the Giants are the most likely to sign him. I guess I'll be happy about it. He has been an underachiever thus far in his career though

Yeah there are big reports in Minnesota that the Vikings wouldn't put up enough cash (Red McCombs strikes again), and that he's going to NY to sign a deal in the next couple days. He'd be a good weapon for the Giants, but I still think that offense needs someone with speed to stretch the field. I thought Tim Carter might be decent, but he hasn't panned out.

As for the Vikes, they're now discussing a trade for Rod Gardner, which I am hardly worried about.

Carter has GREAT speed, but has terrible hands and cant stay healthy.

Jamaar Taylor, a rookie last year, looked pretty good at times. I think he could develop into a solid weapon

Moving in Another Direction
Giants no longer pursuing free agent wideout Burress
By Michael Eisen, Giants.com

March 10, 2005

East Rutherford, NJ - After meeting with free agent Plaxico Burress, the Giants have decided not to pursue the wide receiver.

“The New York Giants are no longer interested in free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress and have withdrawn their offer,” general manager Ernie Accorsi said.

Burress, who played his first five seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, arrived at Giants Stadium late Wednesday afternoon. He had dinner with members of the team’s coaching staff and front office in Manhattan last night, and returned to the Giants offices this morning. A determination was then made by the team’s decision-makers to go in another direction.

The Giants have added four players since the free agency signing period began last week: linebacker Antonio Pierce (Washington), offensive tackle Kareem McKenzie (Jets), kicker Jay Feely (Atlanta) and quarterback Jim Miller (New England).

I think Burress is a problem child. He should go to Oakland with the rest of the screwballs.

Your Giants should have gone after Mason or Muhammad.

I finally played live and it was fantastic.
