Football is not all about the goals. Also 1-0 looks low, because other sports give 10 points for what is essentially 1 goal.

Ummm no. The NFL is 7 points with a Touchdown. That is the only sport where your theory applies. They also do it because not all scoring has the same value.


Please tell us what "football" is all about, if its not all about the goals. I am dead serious. I want to know what is so awesome about it.

Great defending, tackles, commitment. Great pieces of team play, build up etc to create chances. A lot of this goes unnoticed and a lot of credit goes toward strikers for the goals. However strikers are arguably the weakest players on the pitch, it's one of the more easier positions to play in.

Soccer by far. Its ignorant to say a sport is boring just cause youre not into it. My favorite soccer games have ended with no scoring. Theres lots of action. You can say baseball is boring then. It takes 5 minutes for every pich. But its not. I remember watching Toronto/Philly and my heart was in my throat with every pitch delivered. NFL is only good for TV. Watching it live it completely sux. You cant tell whats happening at all. Thats all you see is just a bunch of people falling down. And again it takes awhile during every play. NBA (rules wise) is horrible. College I dont mind. Action wise, NHL is by far the best, but soccer is something I grew up with.

How many NFL games have you been too? Last time I checked there wasnt much NFL action in Canada. Its possibly the best game to go to live. I still prefer baseball, but football is awesome (especially the tailgating, lol)

I think what people fail to realize is that the US puts ZERO effort into promoting soccer. They have tried like 5 different leagues but they always flop out of lack of interest.

We have CFL which isn't much different than NFL. A few differences but football is football.
