Bruschi has leaking blood vessel in his brain

Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi will remain in Massachusetts General Hospital while he undergoes more tests after it was found he had a leaking blood vessel in his brain, a Patriots team source told the Globe on Thursday.

The Patriots' Pro Bowl linebacker was admitted to the hospital Wednesday after suffering from persistent headaches and numbness. The numbness is now gone.

A Patriots spokesman said Wednesday night that Bruschi was in "good condition.''

Tedy was only in the hospital for 2.5 days and is said to be feeling no ill effects of the stroke.

However there is a ton of speculation around here that after 9 years and 3 superbowl rings that he may in fact retire.

That would be totally awful, but understandable. You hate to see a player go out before he is ready. Especially when he was just starting to get the national attention he has deserved for years now.

I suspect if he retires before the season that the Patriots would retire his number before the 1st game and put him in the Patriots hall of fame.

That man is bigger than sliced bread around here. Easily one of the most popular Patriots ever.
