Petr Cech - Best Keeper the Premiership's ever seen?
Well, he just smashed Schmeichel's record of most consecutive minutes played without conceding a goal. Not bad going at all, that record. But despite this statistic, is he the greatest keeper the league's ever seen?
I don't think so, I still think the old Peter is the best keeper that the Premiership has ever seen - Petr Cech just has an awesome defence in front of him. Cracking save from the Dickov penalty, though.

Which is why Peter Schmeichal is overrated, because we can remember so many spectacular saves, the reason - poor positioning.
Cack isn't the best keeper the Premiership has ever seen, despite this record, I think the real praise should go to the defence in front of him which is so well organised.
I don't wanna take anything away from Schmeichal and Cech because they are both brilliant keepers, but I say a great keeper is one with a crap defence infront of him, Schmeichal and Cech both had/have a brilliant back 4 to support them.
In hindsight (prem season over and all that) I think Cech is the best Ive seen in England. Basically he has got one of the best defences ever in front of him so most of the time he`s cold and he still pulls off world class saves. Given another season with the kind of form he showed last season I could easily mention him in the same breath as Buffon.
