I'm done betting against New England, but I think it's gonna be a good game. I really hope Seymour plays and I really hope Owens plays, although I still feel the latter might be a stretch. I can't possibly cheer for Philly, so I'll say I'm cheering for the Pats right now -- although sometimes that changes as the games progress.

Either way, I love Super Bowl Sunday. Head over to my friend JP's house at 10am with the other 7 guys in my fantasy league, we bring some shitty clothes because it's Jan/Feb and usually raining, and play a couple hours of football on the field beside his house. The guy's mom goes CRAZY when she hosts anything, I'm talking two hundred chicken wings, multiple pizzas, an ENORMOUS table-sized dish of the best seven-layer dip I've heard or read or dreamed about. Then we do our fantasy draft during the game, which is the best part of the fantasy season easy, and talk about chicks. It's so good.

wow...thats a little early isnt it?

I guess I should actually give my thoughts on the game...
After the game against the Colts, I decided I would never doubt the Patriots ever again. Until somebody beats them in the playoffs, I'm stocking with them. Vegas has them as 6 point favorites, by the way.
As for what I do for the Super Bowl, I've done something different every year. Last year, I went to my friend's loft apartment in Brooklyn and watched the game with about 10 guys from high school. We had a strict "no women" policy. We were all rooting for the Panthers, and one of my friend's female neighbors (who happens to be from Boston) came into the apartment and the Patriots promptly scored their first touchdown. She was quickly removed
The year before, I was up visiting my college, and a bunch of us watched it at a friend's house. A couple of girls said they were coming, but they were really late. They didnt get there until like the second quarter. We ordered a shitload of food, but my friend was being a bitch and wouldnt let us eat until the girls got there. That really pissed everyone off
The year before that was my senior year, and we had a party at my house. I was pissed off because my housemate invited these girls we knew over, and they are really stupid and talkative, and we thought they would be really annoying. But, they baked us a cake and didnt bother us during the game (and they're pretty hot) so it wasnt that bad.
The year before that was the year the Giants lost to the Ravens. Not good times. My friend threw a chair through his living room wall.

Hah, yeah D, it's early, but then it gives us all offseason to play with our rosters. I run a dynasty league where you keep 9 players, and then the rest go into the draft pool, which makes it kind of a crapshoot to round out the rest of your players, which I like because it's similar to the NFL draft. It's not just chumps in the draft though -- this year I'm figuring the top three picks will be Corey Dillon, Hines Ward, and Rudi Johnson.
wow...you get to keep 9 guys and Corey Dillon will be available? We only keep one and Dillon probably wont be available!
Generally, everyone in my league just keeps their best RB, unless its a team with a stud Reciever and not great RBs. The way it looks, the people who will be keepers will be: Shaun Alexander (my keeper), Tomlinson, Brian Westbrook/Tiki Barber, Randy Moss, Curtis Martin/Marvin Harrison (probably Martin), Clinton Portis/Daunte Culpepper, Ahman Green, Dillon, Priest Holmes/T.O., Deuce McAllister, Peyton Manning (this guy also has Edge and Rudi Johnson, so it'll be nice having them in the free agent pool), Fred Taylor (his team was terrible)
So at least 8 of our 12 teams will keep a running back, and as many as 10 are possible

Oh Dillon would have been kept on most of the teams, but there are a couple really shitty managers still suffering from a bad original draft (in 2001) and some piss-poor trading decisions. For example, one guy is keeping Michael Bennett and Onterrio Smith as his backs, and another has Nick Goings and Reuben Droughns. The idea is that parity will take over as these drafts happen every year, although the bad managers always end up defying this.
