Doug Mientkiewicz refuses to return World Series ball
Apparently, after recording the final out of the World Series, he stashed the ball away and kept it. The Red Sox want it back. he refuses to give it to them. Which isnt that bad, until you consider this quote from him:

"I know this ball has a lot of sentimental value...But I can be bought. I'm thinking, there's four years at Florida State for one of my kids. At least."

Pretty shitty move on his part, if you ask me, especially considering he makes millions of dollars a year

I would keep it myself.

Believe it or not, but that is the first thing I thought of when he caught the toss from Foulke. I said to myself "That ball is worth millions, he better hold onto that"

I would give it back to the Sox if I played there for a long time, but shit, the guy was brought in midseason.

Although, I think its still technically considered property of the ball club as long as it stays on the playing field. It becomes a souvenier once the ball goes into the stands.
