NFL Playoff Predictions

Make your predictions here.

For those uneducated, here are the seeds for each conference, in order:

NFC:
1. Philadelphia Eagles
2. Atlanta Falcons
3. Green Bay Packers
4. Seattle Seahawks
5. St. Louis Rams
6. Minnesota Vikings

AFC:
1. Pittsburgh Steelers
2. New England Patriots
3. Indianapolis Colts
4. San Diego Chargers
5. New York Jets
6. Denver Broncos

Just say which teams will reach the Super Bowl I guess, and who will win it. If you're right you can put it in your sig or something.

Wild-Card round:

Seahawks over Rams
Packers over Vikings
Jets over Chargers
Colts over Broncos

Second round:

Eagles over Seahawks
Falcons over Packers
Steelers over Jets
Colts over Patriots

Conference Championship Round

Falcons over Eagles
Colts over Steelers

Super Bowl

Colts over Falcons

By the way, if my prediction comes true, and its Falcons-Colts in the Super Bowl (Manning vs. Vick), every employee in NFL headquarters will walk around with an around-the-clock boner

Also, seeds 1 and 2 in each conference have this weekend of with a first round bye. So 3 plays 6 and 4 plays 5.

I am going to see if I can guess every game correctly.

NFC Round 1
Green Bay Packers 34, Minnesota 31

The last two times they met this was the final score.

Seattle Seahawks 31, St. Louis Rams 17

Both these teams suck.

NFC Round 2

Green Bay 35, Philly 17
No T.O. Equals No Wins.

Atlanta 24, StLouis 21
Close game but Vick makes it to Title Game.

NFC TITLE GAME
Green Bay 24, Atlanta 21
Favre overcomes 3 INT's to win the game with a Longwell FieldGoal as time expires.

Basically the NFC is a joke and whoever makes it to the Superbowl will most likely get their butts kicked. The AFC could go two different ways. Too many talented teams to probably predict correctly.

AFC Round 1
Indy 41, Denver 17
Piece O Cake---I think.

San Diego 31, Jets 21
The Jets crawled into the playoffs and dont really deserve to be there.

AFC Round 2

San Diego 16, Pittsburgh 6.
Call me crazy, but I think Pittsburgh is the most overrated 15-1 in the history of football. Bill Cowher has proved many times over the years that he SUCKS when it comes to playoff time. San Diego on the other hand plays a strong physical type of football. LT and the Defense take over the game and take out Pittsburgh in Pitt.

New England 38, Indy 35.
This has shootout written all over it. This game all depends on the status of the New England injuries of Ty Law and Richard Seymour. Ty Law absolutely OWNS Manning. If Law is not in this game, the Colts win.

AFC Title Game
New England 17, San Diego 3.

The Pats use time possesion and Cory Dillon to get to the 3rd Superbowl in 4 years.

Superbowl
New England 24, Green Bay 17

Ahman Green fumbles the ball on the 2 yard line with only 2 seconds left in the game to give New England the victory.

Superbowl Winners
The New England Patriots

It would also be the first time two Dome teams played each other for the Superbowl Title.

Here we go.

AFC Wild Card round: Chargers over Jets
Colts over Broncos

NFC Wild Card round: Packers over Vikings
Rams over Seahawks

Divisional: Colts over Pats
Chargers over Steelers

Eagles over Rams
Falcons over Packers

Conference: Colts over Chargers
Eagles over Falcons

I have to stay with my pre-season pick of Eagles over Colts in the Super Bowl although I can't see it happening unless T.O. is healthy and plays like it. As far as a Falcons-Colts Super Bowl, the NFL would be happy as fuck and it would be a really entertaining game with Manning and then Vick trying to walk on water to pull the game out. As long as some shitty team doesn't sneak in the Super Bowl should be fun with a number of possible match-ups.

I think the opposite of a Falcons-Colts Super Bowl would be Rams-Jets. Paul Tagliabue would probably shoot himself in the head

Seahawks-Jets would be even worse for the NFL. At least there are still some impressionable fans who remember the good Rams teams from a few years ago.

I just read that Ty Law is out for the rest of the season. That'll hurt the Patriots, but if anyone can find a way to stop the Colts without their best corner, its the Patriots

Yeah, I saw that. He was placed on IR today. That sucks. The Patriots have won 8 out of 9 games without him, but as well all know Manning can spread the ball around like crazy and the like of Earthwind Moreland and Randall Gay may get schooled by Stokley and Wayne.

Hopefully the Pats score first and can get a INT or fumble recovery. If they go up by two scores early then they can pound Dillon. The biggest factor in this game could come down to weather. If you look at Indys record outside when its cold, you would probably not want to be a Colts fan.

Here's to praying for New England Magic Snow. Mother Nature loves a cold game in New England.

Close game but Vick makes it to Title Game.
Simon, could you please explain how the Rams are going to lose their first round game, but still advance to the second round?
