The Pats had this game completely wrapped up going into the 4th quarter. I am still trying to figure out what Brady was thinking when he threw his 3rd of 4 INT's. They were up by 13 with under 2 minutes to play. Drag the time out, even if you dont get the 1st down you can punt. They would have had to drove the whole field, scored a TD then recovered an onside kick. Uuuugh. I will say one thing about the Patriots. They need Ty Law back like its nobodys business. Teams FINALLY realized that all you have to do is keep throwing deep. Eventually something will get through the likes of Earthwind Moreland, Asante Samuel and Troy Brown.

Brady is such a smart player, its rare you see him make a poor decision like that. Pittsburgh has two tough games remaining, Baltimore and @Buffalo. So its not too far-fetched that they could finish 13-3, but I wouldnt hold my breath Oh, and the Pats play @NYJ this weekend. thats a tough one too. Luckily, they finish with San Fran Also, dont look now, but Indy and San Diego are only one game behind the Pats. They play against each other, so one team will drop out of the running for a first-round bye after this Sunday. NE has the tiebreaker over Indy, but I'm not sure about San Diego.

Tom was in the film room breaking down the Miami game till 7:30 in the morning when he called the Dennis & Callahan show on our Local WEEI 850 "Patriots Tuesday" He said he still hadnt gone to bed and was looking to catch a couple hours sleep till the team arrived later that day. That is what seperates the winners from the losers. Anyone in the NFL is talented, its how you seperate yourself from the pack. An odd stat for everyone. The Patriots have lost 4 games in the last two years. In each of those games the Pats have turned over the ball 4 times a piece. Weird huh?

Rep Power: 24 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I didn't get to see the game last night, but one of the only things I have ever really questioned about Weis/Belichick's playcalling is the way he runs out games. Several times I've found myself calling them on the way Brady is running passing plays with a lead and 2 minutes left. Obviously they usually get away with it, and pre-Dillon they make more sense, but come on guys, just run the ball. Unless the situation was different last night, I just knew it would bite them one day.

It was 3rd and 9 when Brady threw that INT, so i guess they figured they had a better shot of making a first down throwing than running. But still, they probably should have run the ball
