Going to Sunday's Giants game

Gonna see Michael Vick, and its Eli Manning's first start. I'm pretty excited.

unfortunately, i was only able to get one ticket, so i'm going by myself, but i'm sure I'll make friends while I'm there. Last game I went to I saw Jeremy Shockey catch a touchdown, so hopefully I'll see another one

So how was it?

My area was forced to sit through Miami/Seattle (thank you Grey Cup), but judging from the stat line, it looks like Vick played an exciting game.

It was fun being at the game. I was in the lower section along the 25-yard line, and i had a great view. I wish i had brought my camera.

Vick played an exciting first half, but the Giants shut him down in the second half. I think he had 60 or so rushing yards (of his 105 total) on Atlanta's first drive.

The Giants dropped several catchable passes in the first half, including a crucial one by Shockey late in the 2nd quarter. But he made up for it with a solid 2nd half and a TD in traffic.

Eli looked pretty good too. He made a few rookie mistakes, most notably the second INT where he basically threw it right to a linebacker. But he was calm and poised in the pocket (unlike Kurt Warner), and was able to roll out effectively when the protection broke down.

I agree that Eli looked good for a dude in his 1st NFL start. Sure he made mistakes, but Troy Aikman did too when he was a rookie on a not so good team.

If he is half as talented as his brother he will have a decent career in the NFL.

BTW, Peyton already has some 31 passing TD's? That is sick. He still wont win the superbowl though.

If Indianapolis had even a decent defense, the Colts would be unstoppable, and Peyton would have a fist full of rings..

He needs 13 in his last 6 games to tie the record... considering he has 18 in his last 4 games, and 3.5 per game on the season, it doesn't seem like a much of a longshot.

The guy is sick. Watching him play is like a clinic, he is absolutely 500% smarter than any other person in the stadium, namely the opposing defensive coordinator, and has every single prototypical quarterback tool on top of it. He had the Colts put 49 points on the board in Week 10, and Marvin Harrison's stat line was something like 2 catches for 20 yards... how are you supposed to stop Peyton Manning?

Yeah if Eli ends up half as good as Peyton he'll be a pro bowler every year. That is how good Peyton is right now.

And that brings me to this point. I am sick and fuckin tired of people trying to compare Brady and Manning. It's a joke. Brady has two rings and is a very good QB, But I would take Manning any day of the week over Brady. Actually, I'd take Mcnabb and Favre over Brady too. The Pats have a much better D then the Colts and that's why they win all the games.

Is Trent Dilfer better than Marino?? Fuck no.

Now Brady is much better than Dilfer, but I think the nonsense comparisons have to stop NOW!!!

I think Brady is a very very very good QB...but he's no Peyton Manning. Manning is far and away the best QB in the league.

The Patriots have beaten the Colts 3 times in the last year, but two of those came down the wire with the Colts in position to win the game. If Edgerrin James doesnt get stuffed at the goal line during the regular season last year, the Colts would have played the AFC championship at home last year (the Colts and Pats would have both been 13-3, with the Colts winning the tiebreaker), and who knows what would have happened then?

MY preseason Super Bowl prediction was Colts over Eagles and I'm standing by it.

I'm not really trying to diss Brady, just he ain't Manning, or McNabb, or Favre.

That's funny that your preseason pick wa Colts over Eagles cuz my pick was Eagles over Colts and I'm sticking by it as well.
