Congratulations Yanks!!!!

Hats off to Mussina! YAY!!!!

The reason the Red Sox sucked tonight:

- Damon striking out 4 times and not getting on base when it mattered
- Millar Playing first instead of Doug, when Doug would have gotten to Matsui's 3rd hit and saving the 7th and 8th runs from scoring
- Wakefield coming in instead of Lowe
- Francona leaving Timlin in when Myers was ready, and a batter who myers specializes in is up with 2 men on base...That-a-boy Francona...way to use ur bullpen...lets leave Timlin in to give up a triple with 2 outs and 2 men on. THANKS TITO

This wasn't Mr. Schilling's fault by any means. He was injured and Terrence knew it! Good luck Pedro. You will need it with you incompetent management!

Really? I found it more a case of the Red Sox really sucked, and the Yankees almost blew it as well. But obviously it was more of the Red Sox just sucked.

I think the Red Sox did alright for themselves last night. Sure, they didnt win. But they showed why the are in the playoffs in the first place by making a valent comeback. Most teams would have just layed down like dogs. Not the 2004 Red Sox.

On a side note, the Yankees have lost the first 4 game 1's of an ALCS and gone on to win the series. Just because you don't win game 1 isnt the end of the world.

P.S. Dirty Sanchez, your posts have an eery Yahooism to them. It just seems so familar for some reason. I just can't put my Hyde on it.

Also, Wakefield came in because at the time they were down by a few and he hadnt pitched since the end of the regular season.

Wakefield has also proven to be a significantly better pitcher against the Yankees in NY than Derek Lowe has over the years.

Kevin Millar was playing first base last night because he was one of the best hitters in the American League for the 2nd half of the season. Doug Mientkiewicz is a not a guy you want in your lineup when you are down by 7 runs either. He is batting like .180 since joining the Sox.

So cool your jets. Cooler Sox will prevail.

The only things I didnt understand was why in the world Francona

It goes to show how dangerous a lineup Boston has when Mussina can go 6 1/3 perfect, and then they score 7 runs the next two innings.

speaking of Mussina, he has definitely regained his form. His curve/knuckle curve was nasty last night, and his control was great. Hopefully he can do it again in game 5 in Boston

All I can say is thank God Rivera was back...

The Red Sox will win tonight. It is no big deal, they have only lost 1 game so far, the red sox will prob take the next 4.

The good thing about Pedro is that he steps up when he knows he has too. Analyzing the situation, I can see why they had Millar in there. He has had great success against the Yanks this year. They should probably give Douglas a chance tonight though. Bernie Williams and Matsui are highly underrated also.
