Of course I'd like to see the Red Sox take it in 4.. The Cardinals are unbeatable. So even if the Yankees so somehow beat the Red Sox in the ALCS, I will enjoy watching the Cardinals sweep the Yanks in the World Series. Don't even deny it, Mister D. You know the Yankees can't fuck with the Cardinals.
The Cardinals are good. Very good. So good in fact, that I'm going to predict them to beat the Yankees in 5 games.
Assuming its Yankees-Sox in the ALCS, I think both teams will be emotionally drained by the time the series is over, and whoever wins will get crushed by the Cardinals.

Yes. So at this point, I don't think it matters who wins in the ALCS. But the Red still have to prove that they can beat the Yankees. They blew it last year because Pedro wanted to steal the show. I'd say Cabrera and Schilling are the best chances the Sox have this year.
I don't think the Cardinals are goint to make it. I don't think they have the starting pitching to win the short series. I think the Giants match up with them well and could knock them out, and the Cubs to a lesser extent. Both those teams score plenty of runs but have better starting pitching.
Atlanta has been playing awesome, but they always seem to find some way to lose in the playoffs.
The Dodgers are playing their worst ball of the season, and they're obviously doing it at the worst time. They would be carrying zero momentum into the playoffs.
I like the Cubs or the Giants myself, and hometown bias is going to make me pick the Giants.
In the AL, I'm going to have to go with the Yankees. The A's are perrennial post-season chokers and are not playing very well right now. The Twins just aren't that impressive of a team. Anaheim isn't built very well for the post season. The Red Sox have all the components to knock off the Yankees, but I'm betting that the curse lives on.
Okay there is no curse. Please drop that word from your vocabulary. The Red Sox just choke against the Yankees. That's all there is to it. They would have won last year if Grady Little didn't let his players make his decisions for him. The Yankees are a dangerous team, and when a pitcher gets tired, the offense will capitalize on it. Grady just couldn't get that through his thick skull.
