My fantasy franchise is being toppled...

I've been in a keeper football league going into its fourth year now, and my team has always been the powerhouse. I've only actually won the championship once, but my record going into this year was 34-8... however, at 0-2 this year, we've reached new lows, and this week I'm playing the team that looks like the new frontrunner. The worst part is my running backs...

Priest Holmes - QUESTIONABLE (more like doubtful)
Deuce McAllister - OUT
Corey Dillon - BYE
Travis Henry - BYE

As you can see, I'm stacked (at other positions too), but it's doing nothing for me. It looks like this week I'll be starting all of Lamar Gordon, William Green, and Maurice Morris (unless I really luck out and no one else makes a waiver claim on recently-dropped Kevin Jones).

How the mighty has fallen.

Hah, isn't Gordon himself the leading div. II rusher of all-time?

Or was that the point you were making...

Freak, I feel your pain my man.

I have a 3 player, 12 team keeper league.

I also lost Deuce this past week. So I had to make a trade to keep myself in it. Only problem is the only players I could get were on the BYE this week as well. So I am stuck with starting Antwoin Smith. Yup, you read that right. Sir Suckass himself.

What do you think of this trade I made. Basically I had McNabb and Vick, so I decided that it may be time to move Vick. (I dont like having two stud QB's, you get stuck trying to figure out who will be better each week). So the trade was Eddie George and Mike Vick for Willis MaGahee and Travis Henry.

So when Deuce comes back I will have Faulk, Henry, Deuce. Not too shabby. You can never have enough RB's

It's always funny to have Mike Vick on your fantasy team. Last year a friend of mine had him and Vick got hurt right away....but people always go back to him cuz of games like this past week when he ran for 109 yards.

He is pontentially a fantasy monster on any given week, but people have to realize that he isn't going to just go out there week in and week out and throw for 250 yards and run for a 100....not going to happen.

That's why all the "drafting vick in the 1st round" talk is crazy. If you have a decent pick at all go with running backs. Always, whether you are lucky enough to have a guy like LT or even a guy like Travis Henry and Quentin Griffin can be mighty useful. Never enough backs.
