Patriots vs. Colts

What a great game last night. Even though the Patriots D gave up over 400 yards they made the tough plays to stop the Colts. If they keep playing like this, there is no doubt they will win another Super Bowl. Corey Dillon looked good too.

It was a really good game.

Just remember though, if McGinest doesnt get that sack at the end of the game, Vanderjagt is kicking a chip shot, and you'd go to OT which would basically come down to who wins the coinflip

Huge play there. Also, did you notice how Manning audibled and sent Edgerrin James AWAY from the side that the Patriots were blitzing from? That backfired and basically cost them the game

what i meant to say was that McGinest doesnt get a lot of publicity, but he really comes up with big plays. He was also the one that stopped Edge at the goal line in the regular season last year. He's always making big plays when it counts. He's like the Derek Jeter of the Patriots...but with half as many championships

Glad you felt the need to throw that in there. Dillon is nuts. The guy dances by everyone. He's got some crazy moves.

The Red Sox may have some trouble in the World Series against the Cardinals, but The Patriots will win the Super Bowl no problem. WOOOOOO!

That was classic Belichick right there, and I rarely give the guy props (he gets enough from everyone else). Peyton, as smart a football player as he is, needs to just let the plays run themselves sometimes, especially when the game is on the line like that. Belichick baited him and baited him and baited him on that drive in particular, and Peyton shot his own team in the ass with that audible.

As for the game, it was great. I wouldn't be too impressed as a Pats fan however; they wouldn't have come away with a win had Edge been able to keep hold of the football, and the offensive playcalling was just atrocious. I don't know what sort of "point" Charlie Weis was trying to prove by running an empty backfield for the entire opening drive when he was Corey Dillon on his bench, and I was very happy to see the Pats' offense sputter when they hit Indy's 30. Another good example of bad playcalling was having Brady throw the ball instead of handing off to Dillon near the end of the game, when running down the clock is mandatory.

I also have no idea what Indy is doing with all these new plays designed for Reggie Wayne. He got way more looks than Harrison all game, and was STILL invisible after that first big catch. On that last sack Peyton was looking for Wayne, when he had perhaps the most clutch receiver in the game on his other side, and a guy (Stokley) who had three or four huge third-down conversions already in the slot.

The Patriots will struggle to fend off the Cards in the desert next week, believe it.

I bet the Pats beat Arizone by at least 10 points next week.
