My fantasy football draft

We are having an emergency fantasy draft tomorrow night for me and my friends. Each team pays 150 bucks. We have a fake salary cap of 200 bucks and we can holdover 3 guys each. For it to make sense the average salary of a good player like Cory Dillon would be about 30 bucks if he wasnt held over by someone. Top flight superstars go for 50-60 bucks towards the cap.

Keep in mind that some people are held over because their cap number is so low. I am holding over Mike Vick $15, Deuce McAllister $7, and Santana Moss $17.

With these 3 studs at such a low cost I will be able to make a big splash at a superstar.

Out of the people that I list, which ONE player should I try to grab. (a lot of good players are held over, thus why they arent listed.)

Ahman Green
Randy Moss
Marvin Harrison
Stephen Davis
Marshall Faulk
Terrell Owens.

I am thinking Ahman Green. He is an animal.

I finally played live and it was fantastic.

I would go with Marvin Harrison personally. I think Peyton Manning is going to have a monster year, which means monster numbers for his number one option.

If you're going RB, take Ahman. If you want a WR, it's between Marv and Moss. Those other guys belong no where near your list.

My buddy (who is also in the league and loves Moss, so take it with a grain of salt) was trying to tell me that Moss is suffering from a sore heel and will be playing through pain all year.

But I can find this info anywhere. Is he blowing smoke up my ass? It seems that way. I know he was banged up at the end of last year but not to the extent where it should affect him this year.

I am also a little weary of Harrison, he is 32 now. Which is getting up there for a WR. Granted he is top 3 reciever I have EVER seen, his numbers may now start to be on the decline. Although I could be completely wrong.

What do you guys think about Kevin Jones, RB from Detriot. I think he will be a stud. I would also like to get Julius Jones from Dallas.

Thoughts.?

I like Kevin Jones, but i dont know much about Julius. Kevin Jones will definitely benefit from Deteroit having such a strong passing game, as defenses will key in on stopping Roy Williams and Charles Rogers

Your buddy is actually right about Moss, who suffers from plantar fascitis. He played through it last year, and expects to do the same this year. It's just pain he has to deal with, it won't keep him out. Moss has never missed a game in his life.

Kevin Jones could be a pretty solid back this year, although I don't think it's really Mariucci's style to stick with one running back all game. The guy has great speed, but I never found he has a lot of moves. Either way, he'll get a lot of playing time, and is worth a late-round pick. I have Julius Jones on my fantasy team, and I was pumped about him before Dallas signed Eddie George. Jones is still technically the starter, and he's got all sorts of tools, but he'll lose a lot of carries it seems.
