Is anyone else appalled by what he did? That is one of the lowest things I've ever seen an athlete pull
for those who dont know the situation, Carlos Boozer played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, making near the league minimum (something like 400k a year). Last year, he performed very well, and the Cavs had a team option for this year, meaning they could keep for at least one more year at this incredibly cheap price (relatively speaking), then try to resign him.
But, to reward him for his hard work, and also to try to lock him up for a few years, the Cavs made the following deal with Boozer: We dont exercise your option for this year, making you a free agent, and we sign you to a contract for as much as we can offer you under the salary cap (about 5 million a year). Boozer agreed verbally, then after they made him a free agent, he signed a deal with Utah for like 8 million.
to make matters worse, the owner of the Cavs is not only considered to be one of the nicest people in all of sports...he's BLIND!!! Carlos Boozer figuratively stabbed a literally blind man in the figurative back!!!
All I can say is : What a scumbag
Correction: the deal with cleveland was about 7 mil a year, the deal with Utah is about 11 mil a year, same duration for both (6 years)

what do you expect he is black, j/k, if you were in his position tho, i do believe it would be hard to resist and extra 4 million a year, i know that i wouldve done the same thing.

It's not a difference of 4 million total, it's four million a year. He's scheduled to make $68 million over the next 6 years, as opposed to $42 million over the same period of time with Cleavland. So in answer to your question, an extra $4million might not make a difference, but an extra $26 million definately does.
That's a huge 26 million, when you consider Boozer is a guy we could very well be looking at in three years as, "man how in the hell did this guy fleece the Jazz like that???"
I've just never felt the allure for Carlos Boozer, he's definitely not worth all of this money.
Obviously he'll help the Jazz, but I just feel sorry for Utah spending all this money for a player who isn't gonna bring them to a level where they can compete with the Lakers/Spurs/Kings/Rockets/TWolves of the West, not to mention the Mavs and Nuggets.
Boozer is a solid player, but NOT worth 11.3 million a year. In fact, i think the deal the Cavs offered him is almost exactly what he's worth, compared to other NBA salaries
