Blackhawks sign Barnaby and Brown..thoughts?

Freak? Bike? Anyone else? I'd be interested to see what you guys think of these recent signings. Barnaby, in particular, is a very tough player; he will really help out in that area. Plus, ya gotta love his reason for liking the move there:

"I am very excited to be coming to the Blackhawks," said Matthew Barnaby. "I actually thought I might be drafted by the Blackhawks in my draft year. The Chicago fans are incredible, the uniforms are the best in hockey, and my family and I love the city.

He doesn't care how good or bad the team is, he just wants to wear the uniform. Heck, he could go to Cleeves and buy the uniform, if he likes it that much.

Ah well, hopefully he and Brown can turn this sinking ship around. Certainly can't do much worse than last season, that's for sure.

Barnaby is tough? LOL!

I suppose he's tough in the sense that he's a f*cking idiot who isn't afraid to run his mouth and pick fights even though he's just gonna get his skull bashed in... but he's hardly intimidating to ANYONE.

Brown was a good player for the Sabres a few years ago, I dunno if he has anything left in the tank.

Barnaby is one of the most brash, entertaining players in the league, 80% of the time he will get his ass kicked, but oh man when he does win a fight its something to watch. Maybe that has something to do with the whole "Barnaby is a fag" rumour a few years back.

I'm surprised the Sharks didn't resign Brown, he was a solid 2 way player with Buffalo, and in any shape of form he'll bring something to the shallow Hawks.
