World Series Predictions.

I know the season has already started and we should have picked them all earlier, but better late than never.

So who do you think will be facing each other in the Fall Classic.

My Pick:

Houston vs. Boston.

I am obviously biased to Boston but I believe that they will make a trade soon, get Nixon and Nomar back in time for the summer pennant drive. Eventually I see New York rebounding off their poor start (which they have pretty much already done) and taking the division, with Boston winning the wildcard. Boston will finally overtake the Yankees in another brutal ALCS. Most likely a game 7. David Ortiz will be the ALCS MVP.

Houston will make the series as the current 7-0 Roger Clemens leads his team to a 10 game division win over Chicago. I feel the Astros will run away with their division soon enough. Clemens, Pettite, Oswalt and Miller along with one of the best bullpens in baseball lead the way as Bagwell and Biggio make a run at the title in what may be their last year together.

Boston over Houston in 7 games.

That's not true. It's the same group of guys they had when they won it all in 2002, they just sucked last year. Now they have Bartolo Colon, Washburn is pitching like he has in the past, and they have a good bullpen. If they pitch anywhere near their ability, their offense will take care of the rest. The names aren't quite as big, but I think the Angels lineup stacks up really well against the Yankees or Red Sox.

BTW, I'm not an Angels fan, and I quite dislike them in fact. This is a pretty objective opinion.

Not only does Anaheim have one of the best bullpens in the last ten years, they have two highly capable starters in Colon and Washburn.

I just thought I'd bump this thread. Most of these predictions are looking pretty good. My prediction of Anaheim v. Houston looked like a complete joke a month ago, but now it's looking highly possible. They're the two hottest teams in baseball right now.

One interesting thing to note is that none of us even mentioned the Cardinals.

Haha. How the Angels Bullpen holding up these days?

Colon is a fat piece of crap.

Washburn who?

I think its pretty interesting some of our picks. Most of us have a good shot at getting it right.

I finally played live and it was fantastic.

Simon, the Red Sox aren't going to have this won easily. I say they take the 1st game on Tuesday with Schilling. But Pedro's performance cannot be predicted. He could easily be destroyed by the Angels offense. Angels also have home field advantage. I say the Sox take it in 5.

Yankees take the Twins in 4 (Assuming that Santana beats the Yankees in Game 1. Then the Yankees will walk all over the Twins.)

Astros will beat the Braves. The Astros pitching will play the major role in the Braves' defeat.

Cardinals will beat the Dodgers in 3 (possibly 4). I don't think this one even needs an explanation. The Cardinals are going to the World Series.
