NHL Playoffs

I don't think anyone wants to do this round by round, but just give a few predictions if you feel like it. Here's some of mine:

Stanley Cup Finals: Toronto over Detroit

Conn Smyth winner: Ed Belfour

1st-round upset: Montreal over Boston

Do we have a thread for the NHL playoffs? If not we should remane this one to keep tabs on whats happening with all our teams.

The Boston Bruins just beat the Habs in double overtime !!!!!

B's are now up 3-1 in the series. They were down by a goal and scored to tie the game with 50 seconds left in the game.

Giddy up.

Kovalev kinda screwed up on that play and cost Montreal the game. He wasn't watching where he was going (after the slash) and ran into Sourey, allowing Murray to get the puck and score the game winner.

Anyways, did anyone else catch what Montreal's Ripero (sp?) did the other night? He was flopping around on the ice and we all thought he was seriously injured but then he gets up and starts taunting the Bruins. At that point, it didn't look like anything had been wrong with him. I'm still not sure if he was faking or not because he missed practice the next morning. He has taken a lot of criticism for it since though.

Ya, Kovalev screwed things up causing a giveaway.

It was reported that Ribeiro has a pinched nerve. He played great tonight.

That is a pretty big story in Boston right now. I have had a pinched nerve before and I certainly wasn't flopping around on the ground like a damn fool.

That was clearly a fake out. He is a dink. Lol. But it doesn't really bother me too much. He was just trying to help his team.

But what's the deal with Montreal fans booing the American National Anthem the other night in the Bruins/Habs game?? Do Canadians really have a dislike for the US? Was it just because it was the Bruins?

What do you Canadiens think of this? It sure doesn't make Montreal dwellers look like the brightest of sorts.

Also, I am not sure who it was that Glen Murray scooped the puck away from, but come on. That guy was acting like he was Luke Skywalker after Darth Vader cut off his hand. Then he collides into his team mate. What a dummy.

What do you guys think of Andrew Raycroft? I have a ton of faith in his abilities. First time I can say that about a Bruins goalie since the likes of Andy Moog.

I don't think Canadians have a problem with Americans, for the most part. Those silly Frenchmen don't speak for the rest of us, I can assure you.

That was Kovalev who got slashed and instead of getting out of the way he ran into Sourey. Man, it happened so fast that Theodore wasn't even expecting a shot on goal.

Raycroft looks decent so far, and with a 3-1 lead in the series it's safe to say that Boston will advance.

Vancouver's Hedberg, on the other hand, is a different story. Calgary has a 3-0 lead on them after 2 periods, last time I checked. Course it's not all his fault. I wonder when/if Clouiter will be back.

Booing Anthems in the playoffs is nothing new and happens on both sides. Everytime it does happen, either side acts like it is the first time ever to happen and acts suprised. It's nothing new and I am sure it will happen again.
