Let me know what you guys think of this trade I made in my other league.........
I won't tell you which team I am so that I can see really who got the better deal. In my league SS,C and 2nd earn a little more than all other positional players, plus pitching doesnt mean much at all in our league. For example the top pitcher in the league in Kerry Wood last year had as many points as say Mike Cameron just to give you an idea of how our system works.
So tell me who got the better of the deal. There are 14 teams so teams can be pretty thin at some areas. Keep in mind that both teams filled some needs with the moves. So just base your judgement on the talent involved in the trade.
Team A got: Lance Berkman, Derek Lowe, Junior Spivey and Matt LeCroy
Team B got: Ken Griffey Jr., Ryan Klesko, JD Drew and Jeff Weaver.
Put it this way, I think I made out very well. I hope you all agree. So who won? Team A or Team B?
Well I hope the Sox are proud of whatever (minimal) success they have this year. Lord knows how hard it is to build your club by throwing money aimlessly at proven ballplayers.
At least if the Jays do well, it'll be because of homegrown talent like Delgado, Wells, Halladay, Hinske.
My team has awful pitching. Hideo Nomo is the ace of my staff. I hope my deadly batting order can suffice.
Simon, your other league stinks. Is it some kind of all-batting league? That looks like a pretty fair trade, but since it's entirely possible that Team B's acquisitions will all be on the DL by June, I vote team A.

I figured that one of the 3 that I acquired would put up similar numbers to Berkman so it would just be a bonus with the other two guys.
Also, I have Marcus Giles at 2nd, and Johnny Damon and Jay Gibbons already in my OF. Plus we only start 3 pitchers and i already had Pedro, Randy Johnson and Josh Beckett.
Overall I think I did well, but I am a little concerned about the injury factors.
