I actually dont know that much about the college prospects. I hardly watch college football at all.

I've just been reading up on the top players since the Giants have such a high pick this year (#4)

One guy that I've heard a lot about is Sean Taylor from Miami. He's a safety, apparently in the Roy Williams mold. Real big and strong. A lot of Giants fans think that the G-Men should try to solve their O-line problems through free agency or even in the later rounds of the draft, because Taylor is too good a prospect to pass up.

another person to look out for is Drew Henson. He's working out today for a bunch of NFL GM's, and if Houston doesnt trade him before the draft, he goes back into the draft pool. A lot of people are convinced that he can still be a good QB, even after 3 years away from football

Also, as an option for the Pats to solve their RB woes, Corey Dillon will probably be available. The only problem is that he's another pain-in-the-ass malcontent. Might not be worth the trouble.

Bill Parcells might be willing to tkae the chance, however, because if anybody can get Dillon in the right frame of mind, its big bad Bill

i dont know where T.O. is going, but i guarantee you he'll be complaining by week 6. Same with Keyshawn. I doubt Philly will take a chance on either player, although they need a reciever badly

Deshaun Foster was the man at UCLA! He was well on his way to a Heisman trophy before he got caught driving someone elses SUV, not to mention UCLA was seemingly on our way to a national championship. Shit really hit the fan after that though.

I love college football, almost as much as NFL football, and I love following the draft.

Eli does look like the pick at #1 (Brees is being shopped apparently), and Fitzgerald would be a good pick for Oakland, but the Cards said the other day that the chance of them drafting a QB high is "very slim." Dennis Green loves Josh McCown, and they want to go with the best player available. I think Sean Taylor is the best player in the draft, but whether #3 is too high for a safety, I don't know. D, I think you would absolutely love him if he were a Giant, he's an absolute monster. 6'3 225 I think, bigger than two of the Canes' top linebackers last year, and he's a total ballhawk. Gallery would be another good pick though, and Roethlisberger too. I figure there's gonna be a lot of trading in this year's draft so discussing it this in depth is kind of shady.

Rivers should be gone long before the Raiders pick in round 2, some team like Miami or Pittsburgh is gonna grab him in the 1st I think. Losman is a good player (he played with Mewelde Moore at Tulane), but I've heard he's a total jackass and reminds people of Ryan Leaf. Drew Henson might be the best quarterback in this draft, and I would love if the Packers could get him for a 2nd-rounder.

Maurice Clarett has got to be one of the dumbest kids out there. He takes a year off of football, campaigns to enter the draft early (which is a rule I didn't want to see changed), and because of this he's not gonna end up anywhere near the top-10, like he would have if he stayed at OSU. All scouts know about him now is that he's a complete jerk, prone to injury, and had half of a good season in college.

I think Mike Williams, the wide reciever from USC is going to be one of the best NFL players out of this years draft. That guy is an absolute stud, it's too bad he's a tool. He'll make a great NFLer regardless.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.

Did you hear Mike Williams is going to declare for the draft or something? Everything I've read has him staying at USC another year, even quoting him as being "happy for Maurice Clarett, but it's not going to change my decision." Unless you've heard otherwise, I'm pretty sure he'll be the best receiver in college next year.

I also have heard nothing of character issues with him. The mere fact that he's staying in school to mature leads me to believe he has his priorities in the right order, considering he'd be a sure-fire top-5 pick if he did come out.

Regardless of what happens, he might be the best receiver coming out of college since Moss. 6'5, can flat out run, and is such a smart receiver.

Oh, I thought he was a senior. I've heard nothing so don't listen to me.

I just said he's a tool because he said some rather ignorant things to the media about UCLA students after their game with us. I just don't like him, but I haven't heard of any behavior problems with him.

Ah that's cool. He's only a sophomore, which is part of what makes what he's done so amazing. The new ruling on underclassmen being able to enter the draft had some people talking about him potentially declaring, that's what I thought you were talking about, my bad.

Yeah, from what little of Taylor I saw, he seems like a great player. That would make three straight years we took someone from Miami in the first round (William Joseph last year, Shockey the year before)

It just sucks because the Giants have such a glaring weakness (O-line), that they may feel forced to pass up on a great prospect like Taylor just to fill that need. At least if the line was somewhat adequate, they could take care of it in other ways. But they've tried that the last few years, and it just hasnt worked.

If Roethlisberger is out there, the Giants could probably use him. Collins cant play forever, after all. Maybe they'll pick up Losman in the second, if he's still out there.

I can talk about the Giants all day long...

By the way Freak, good point on the Arizona-Josh McCown thing. I forgot about him. They could use a running back, since they have a QB and two receivers they like. Maybe they'll trade down with a team that needs a QB and wants Roethlisberger. Miami and Pittsburgh like you mentioned, plus Cleveland are possibilities. Maybe even Green Bay, because they'll have to replace Favre eventually. but i doubt they would trade up.

As for Maurice Clarett, I hope his first game is against the Ravens, and Ray Lewis absolutely cleans his clock. I love what LaVar Arrington said about him: "If he doesnt get assassinated his first year, he'll be fine"

Just heard on ESPN that Mike Williams has declared himself eligble for the draft. I hope the Raiders pick him up. I think they have a top 4 or 5 pick so he should still be available. He's be great for the 49ers as well if he's available. Both those teams need a good reciever desparately.
