He's still re-habbing the leg, hopes to be back for 2007. It's a shame though, the guy is an incredible athlete, and had high hopes of being a real gamebreaker in the NFL.
Not to say his career is over or anything; Frank Gore was one of the fastest kids in America before he suffered those injuries at Miami, yet he rehabbed and now he's looking like a very good NFL running back -- just not with world-class speed like before.
I know what you mean. Gore would have been a no doubt 1st round pick. I liked the gamble though and it's payed off for the Niners. Barlow was horrible.
I drafted him in the ninth round of our fantasy draft this summer -- and that's a dynasty league where we keep nine players from year to year, so essentially the 18th round.
Sure felt good seeing him break that long TD run last week. I hope his head is OK.
