Yes, USC deserved to move to number 3 because Florida struggled against an average South Carolina team. Beat them by a point at home and needed a blocked extra point and a FG to do so. Meanwhile, USC destroyed a ranked Oregeon squad.
The BCS is week-to-week. Florida could jump them and vice versa depending on how each team performs down the stretch.
As it stands right now, Florida has played a better schedule than USC. USC probably should not have jumped them, but the whole BCS is stupid anyway.

Should USC be ahead right now? No, they shouldn't. If they both run the table the rest of they ear though I can USC jusifiably edging them out for the potential number two spot.
