Pudge vs. Piazza

Pudge has scored more runs then Mike, he has more hits then mike, he has more triples then mike, he has more doubles then mike, (pudge has 42, mike only has 7) and batting average there is only a .04 difference.

So it is not like Mike is a much better hitter then pudge. All he has over Pudge is Home Runs.

Ya he owns him in doubles, Triples, Hits but remember he has 800 more at bats which I bet Piazza would atleast be tied or better then him in those catories. So it shows how much Piazza is doing with 800 less at bats.

well, pudge has only played one more extra season then piazza.

This debate is useless then i guess if you put it that way. I guess when we talk about who is better, we have to look at how many games they play first...

btw, there is no way mike will catch up with pudge with triples, runs scored, doubles and singles.. Even if Mike played like 4 extra seasons over pudge.

So ya I will be real with it here, Piazza is down a huge in the triple catorgie and we all know Piazza doesnt run like he did in his prime so that catorgie is unrealistic for catch up. Doubles he is only down about 75 which is unrealistic as well but I do think he would make that margin smaller. Hits would probally be all depending only how many games he played in the season but I do think if he played over a 100 games he would come close.

But we also know Pudge can't come back in some catorgies Piazza leads on him.

So its a close call on who is better, seriously it all comes down on how you look at and appreantly we see it much different but nothing wrong with that.
