So you don't think he's a hall of famer?

Nah.. lol.. I'm kidding. If you're saying he's been a bit overrated in his career, I'll agree. Now I think he's better than Aikman and Jim Kelly, but Marino, Elway, and Young are all better than Favre in my opinion..

I could go more into detail but it's late.

Brett Farve having those stats sense then still deserves himself a spot on the NFL Hall of Fame. This stats might not be good in the playoffs but they were awsome doing those seasons. Yes it must suck do so well in the regular season then choke in the playoffs when your time is depending on you. Despite everything he is a Hall of Famer and should be a quarterback to remember once he is gone.

Blade I do agree on who you said he wasn't better than but then I saw you say he is better than Troy Aikman which can't be true. Aikman isn't just better than him becuase he had won many superbowls but he had a season to awsome season last 5-6 years of his career which go a long expecially when your winning superbowls and on a dynasty team. But then look at Brett Farve he doesn't have what Aikman has superbowl wise but he has more years and stats and probowls in the league then aikman. Wouldn't say Farve was better and dido for Aikman. So I call it two qb's who had more impact when they played then most of the bunch.

The reason why I posted that is because I HATE how Favre seems to be immune to criticism from the media. He's definitely a Hall of Famer, but VERY overrated, and he has not been nearly as good the last few years as people make him out to be

I do agree he has been over-rated for atleast 3-4 years now. He hasn't had above average seasons or winning superbowls for his team. ESPN or ABC or any sports channel supporting the NFL gives him much than he deserves. I see a qb like Jake Delhomme doing much better than him and not getting as much T.V. time as farve does. It's time for Farve to retire before he overdoes what he has built up over this career.

Better then Aikman?

I dont understand. Tom Brady wins 3 superbowls, so does aikman, but why not show any love for troy?

Is it because your a 49ers fan? I know as a dallas fan I never liked the 49ers.
But i still give Steve Young some love.

Aikman didn't win the Super Bowls by himself you know.. they had the best offenive line of all time, one great WR, one great TE, one of the best running backs of all time, and many solid players on defense including a couple hall of famers there as well..

Now, Steve Young had a bunch of talent on his team but I can;t count how many times Young made plays by himself to win games for the Niners. He was a two time league MVP..

Aikman never did any of that.

Young has the highest career passer rating of all time, he always completed well more then 60% of his passes, he never threw interceptions, and he picked up 1st down after 1st down with his legs..

Aikman had no mobility.

I am a huge cowboys fan and probally love Aikman but even I know when I see a player who has more potenail or even better than him. Young hands down is better than him becuase Young didn't have a hall of fame running back right there to back him out. The wr I would say is even becuase had Jerry Rick and Aikman had Irvin so you can't point that out. The o line was better and probally the best we have ever seen beside the bears when they had walter payton running.

Aikman and his three superbowls is just like brady and his three superbowls really. People rant on about how good brady is and that pats wouldn't have won the superbowl without him pfft that is bullshit. They could have won with a vetaren qb easily. They had the best defense in the league and had the best running back at the time in my opion and compare that with Aikman he had 1. Running back 2. Defense. Both won there superbowl rings as whole not one player.

Young on the hand I have seen atleast a few games on espn classic where the defense plays alright but what does on offense saves them the games and ends up winning it for him becuase he scrambles with 4 seconds left with 2 defenders coming at him dumps it for a touchdown, call me crazy but young could be the best qb ever in the game.

I agree with everything you said KS, except for the part about the Patriots having the best RB in the NFL. They won 2 Super Bowl with Antowain Smith...Maybe you're referring to Corey Dillon, but they only won 1 with Dillon.

I would go so far as to say Antowain was never even a top 10 back in the NFL at any point in his career

Ya Tom I was talking about Corey Dillion becuase he was looking like no defense would stop him and thats how it was, he is not even close to what he was then but he is still in the top 10 of runners. Is he over-rated ya he is at times becuase he had one a few solid seasons and people make him seem like a 1,500 yard runner every year but that is not true.

A smith is not even close to the top 10 but we can say he didn't choke and has much experience in a big game which can be crutial for a RB.
