Where will Barry Bonds sign?

I honestly have no idea where he's going to go if it's not the Giants, but I think someone will bite the bullet and sign him because he'll definitely help a team win some games, especially if he's a DH in the AL.

I think he will stay with the Giants ebcause he has said before that he would rather retire then not play for the Giants.

Best move for him though would to go play DH.

I saw this whole free agent thing coming with Bonds and now that it is finally here I realize it's a AL team or no team at all. He knows he can't survive a whole year again in the NL and expect to break the record, so I think he will be signed becuase teams realize he could be the best DH in the league if given the change. With that said he will probally sign with the Athletics at a low price.

I saw the Twins and White Sox on that list and I just dont see any change becuase they are both young teams with talent and they really don't need a old player like him and have him holding there team back. Plus they are way to smart to spend a decent of money on him.

It's tough becuase people dont wont problems on there teams and with him probally breaking the record this year he is bound to get attenchion about storiods.

1. Giants (They've ridden him this far, why not make history with him too)
2. Angels (Need a lefty bat to protect Guerrero)
3. Yankees (They'd do it for the controversy alone)
4. A's (Huge longshot but Billy Beane is always looking for a bat and Bonds fits the high on-base percentage mold of the Oakland philosophy)

mikedudelang I dont understand your point much, becuase you say he will be signed but then give 4 teams. I do have to disagree with what you said becuase the San Fran Giants are not going to sign him simpley becuase they know he wants the record and in the NL he can't do it. The Yankees will not even try to bring him in becuase there main concern is pitching. The Angles do need a bat but not a Bonds Bat. What they need is a decently young power hitter who can runs the bases and play a good defense on top of the offense. The A's are most interested becuase they need a DH like bonds on How much he walks will help players like Frank Thomas and Eric Chavez and company.

Bonds will not be siging with just any team and I know that for a fact, he will be signign with a AL team who will offer him a nice salary worth 2 years play adding a huge signing bonus.

Oakland is not an option. Frank Thomas is their full time DH. He is NOT going to be playing first next year.

San Fran hates him.

Just about every other team does too.

I see him MAYBE signing with the Angels or maybe someone stupid like Baltimore.

I honestly hope he doesn't even get a fair shot at breaking it. After all, he clearly cheated to get to the point he is at today..
