Will Roger Clemens retire?

It's that time of year again. Lets look at how Roger Clemens has pitched so far this year for the Astros. He's got a 2.37 ERA in 17 starts and in 14 of those 17 he's allowed 2 earned runs of less.

It's obvious that he's still not done yet as far as ability. So I ask you? Will he retire and if he does not, where will he pitch?

A guy on ESPN just predicted he'll come back to Boston.

There is no way he retires. He is already what 43? I cant recall a pitcher in the last 30 years being this good at this age.

Remember Nolan Ryan? (most of you are probably too young) That guy pitched till he was in his late 40's but the difference was his numbers suggested that he was only still in the game because of his name.

If you took Roger's skill and put it in a 30 year old arm people would be lining up to give him a huge long term contract.

The fact that he is getting older and vowed to retire some 3 years ago makes me wonder if and when the dude will EVER retire, but as someone who started wathing him pitch when I was 10 years old it will be very hard to imagine him gone from the game.

Also, I don't see him signing with the Red Sox unless the Sox make a lot of off season moves to make a strong legit push at a world series next year.

Curt Schilling has already said that he will be retiring next year, Wakefield has back problems and is already 40 as well. If they signed Roger it would be a 2007 or bust approach and I really dont see the Sox going in that direction.

It sure would be nice though.

Also, keep in mind this about him signing with the Sox.........It would have to be his full decision and also one that wouldnt kill the Sox financially. (even though we all know thye can afford it)

I don't think he will retire he has been saying he's going to retire for about 10 years now and he still pitchin. I think he will probably play a few more years yet. He's still a very good pitcher and can still strike them out.
