hi To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. , i recently watched NFL (UK guy here), my first NFL game watched was The Superbowl final, i just watched it not knowing ANYTHING!, i then thought to myself, im gonna watch this regularly, but then the break came haha, like i said, i knew nothing!, i've had time to learn more about the game since then
i watched my first REAL NFL game which was Cardinals vs Colts (great game), i learnt how to play via Twitter and Madden NFL 2010 on the iPhone/iPod Touch, i think that game is great and i thank it and Twitter for helping me understand enough about the game to watch games live, i also watched Steelers vs Chargers (AMAZING game!)
i can only watch SNF because MNF no longer airs here due to rights To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. i dont actually support a team right now, im playing as Patriots on my iPhone season but that is cause some girl told me to, so im still torn, would it be appropriate for me to pick 1 team out of each division?, is division the right word? im still learning lol, i know Titans are bad this season at least so im kinda supporting Colts but i would like Titans to upset (very unlikely)
like i said, i dont really support anyone so each Sunday, i choose the team im backing via WWE, wherever my favourite wrestler from that town comes from, ill back them at gametime, a little weird but im still learning, anyways i'd really appreciate if you guys dont be asses and help a new fan out, i think the game is cool after watching 2 games, cant wait for Sunday
what i wanna know is like, how long is in a season, how long is the break too, ty To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Being a Titans fan, I have to say that I'm ashamed that a new fan of the NFL already realizes that we have a bad team this year *sadness*
No offense to you, though. Welcome aboard! And, like you, I'm crossing my fingers for a Titans upset... and since the game's at home (in Nashville) and the "Code Blue" is being called for, I'm hoping our guys show up and play... unlike last week in Jacksonville!

The regular season is 17 weeks long, starting about the 2nd week of September and ending around the end of December. Each team plays 16 games, plus everyone gets one bye (off) week. The playoffs then run through the month of January, with the Super Bowl in late January, or sometimes early February.
Picking a team to follow is no easy choice. Its something you need to do carefully, I believe, and with some consideration. Picking a team that is doing well is understandable, but that changes - the best team this year might be one of the worst team two years from now. Picking a team for a specific player is something new fans often do, but players change as well. I'd recommend picking one team to really fully support, rather than one from each conference (two conferences) or divsion (8 total, 2 per conference). You want to be comfortable with most aspects of a team you should end up falling in love with - not just their current talent, but their history, style, fans, etc. You don't want to pick a team for one reason and then find out there are a bunch of things you really dislike about them, leading you to switch teams rather quickly.

Yeam picking one team is the way to go, for most people I suggest just finding one player you really like (thats not on the patriots) and following that team (thats not the patriots). Usually by the end of the season you'll have fallen in love with that team (not the patriots) and when players come and go, you'll be more attached to the logo than the player (who wasn't on the patriots).
In conclusion, don't support the patriots.

This. This. and what this guy said some more. >.>
Picking a team is very careful work, you don't wanna pick a team on a roll and then bail to a better team when they start losing. Finding a player you really like on a team is fine but make sure you really like the team and not just him.
In conclusion, aren't you from PWS?
