Favre and Green Bay, Finally.

I can't wait for the Chargers game, I think they have a decent shot with Troy out.

Ehh I still see James Harrison & Lamar Woodley all in Rivers ass.

I've been right every week when it comes to my boys, what a way to solidify our D by shutting down the Saints. Keep in mind people we are doing all of this without our key LB Calvin Pace

lol shutting down the Saints? I don't see it happening. No one has even slowed down their offense yet and though the Jets' D is very good I don't see them stopping the 'Aints in New Orleans. Though being a Falcon fan, I would love for that to happen.

What people forget about the Saints this year bc of Brees is how much their defense is improved. Gregg Williams has done a tremendous job this year in improving that defense and making it a very respectable even above average D.

Exactly.

I haven't posted here much in the sports section, but I was born and raised in Baton Rouge and am a lifelong Saints fan. Not since the start of the 2001/2002 season (which ended up being a huge disappointment) have I've been so excited for this team. Their defense is the best it's looked since that time (they started that year off 6-1, with the #1 defense in the league), and if they can consistently put on performances like they did against Buffalo... then man oh man are we in for a hell of a year.

Just think about this... if the Saints defense can just keep a team under 28 points, then that's an automatic win for the team. That's all they need to do, and to me, because of that and since they have shown they can do it, that makes them currently the best team in the NFL. And I think when they light up the Jets defense, who are very, very good, this weekend, then it'll convince the non-believers what I believe. Can't wait for Sunday.

Re: NFL 2009 Week 4 Preview And Discussion Thread

I'm looking forward to seeing the Packers/Vikings game. I've that Farve doesn't want "revenge" on Green Bay, but I think deep down, he wants to shove it in their face. Now, I'm not a Farve fan by any means (since this whole retire/unretire thing started), but I am looking forward to see what happens. I can only assume that the Packers have a bullseye on his back for Monday night.

But, more importantly, I'm hoping that the Titans don't start 0-4. So far, this year has been disgustingly ugly for us. Against the Jets they had a decent 2nd half. But, if they want a shot at even thinking playoffs, they'll need to step it up the whole game against Jacksonville.

Oh... and, go Detroit!

C'mon guys that "ohh the Saint's D is good this year" argument is tired they played the Lions week 1 and Donovan McNabb less Eagle team and the Bills!!! Are you being serious that argument is not even good. Even if the Saints beat the Jets they'd get bumped 1st playoff game they are not built for the playoffs

I said it would be a way to prove to everyone our D is serious I never said it'd happen, which I am saying I THINK IT WILL. Brees's O line aint seen a damn thing like Kris Jenkins, Darrelle Revis is if not the best top 3 cover cb's in the league so he can shut down Colston, whoever is starting for the saints at the rb position will struggle ( Pierre Thomas is hurt?) At the end of the day people act as if we rely on Mark Sanchez, we have a 2 rb tandem in the backfield that can cause some real trouble for running d's

Re: NFL 2009 Week 4 Preview And Discussion Thread

I'm looking forward to see these games unfold:

Jets vs. Saints
We got two 3-0 teams that's playing against each other (Jets/Saints). These two teams will be tested to see which will have a better game and who will go 4-0.

Packers vs. Vikings

This is a Monday Night Football game worth watching this year. Brett Favre faces his old team, the Packers, in Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. I want to see how the Packers fans react and how Favre would do against his old team.

I'm also hoping that Tennessee will get out of the 3-game slump that they started in the 2009 season, as they face Jacksonville. They need a win, and I mean they really need it, because I won't be a happy camper to see them go 0-4.
